E3 seems to be regaining it's reputation as the megaton for gaming once again. I hope Sony, MS and Nintendo remain true to their word and drop some bombs on us this year, especially you Nintendo!
Every video I have seen the missions seem fresh and varied, I definetly like the variety, and pretty much everything else about the game :)
Although I fail to see how Sony is failing, in effect they have sold more consoles per year than MS it's only lately with the onset of the recession that sales have begun to lag more and more heavily. The only 2 ways to counter this is to continue with the great support in terms of games, apps and improved online service and heavily market their product. Solution number 2 which could be done in conjunction with nr. 1 is to of course drop the price.
It would of course help Sony to get e...
Although exceptions do occur, in rare instances though. But this industry is getting progresively better and better, which is closing that gap more and more.
But there are already a number of PS3 games of such a high caliber that its hard to judge whether this is indeed the best of em' all, either way I'm thrilled to get it first day.
Despite the fact that this game is going to sell like a million copies on it's first day, I still feel it's a franchise worth funding.
I didn't beleive this game was going to be as good as it is, a must have in my book.
I'm pre-ordering it today.
And all I can say gentlemen (and ladies) is I'm hooked.
It certainly sounds like he's seen or heard something to prompt such a statement.
They are certainly no slouch, Uncharted 2, Infamous, GOW III, GT5 and Heavy Rain. I find it hard to beleive that some people are not in awe of that lineup.
Don't know which one is pumping out the good stuff, hope it zeh germans.
They have the same footage :)
But if I read the article right this means that it's only the german studio thats closing, still a shame though but atleast the whole of factor 5 isn't closing shop.
This has been the tradition every year for many sites and considering N4G is a collection of all their views I don't find it the least bit unexpected, besides both companies have stated that something big is going down so I find it only natural for some speculation to arise.
Heavy Rain is a big risk since it'll solely be a decision making game which is governed by QTE like events. Resistance 1+2 have such an unconventional style and some might not find the art style and gameplay that appealing, not me tho I for one love it.
But Sony is gathering quite a lead in that respect. However the PS3's games are mostly risky moves. If you look at the 360's games they don't take as big risks, Halo, ME and Gears 2 are safe bets and aren't as much of a gamble as LBP, Heavy Rain, Resitance etc, but personally thats what I like.
First day buy, and I can say I have been eagerly anticipating this release for a looong time.
Considering the price difference any dunce could work out that a cheaper alternative is going to sell better. Most people who actually buy a console don't have the same extensive knowledge as the rabid fanboy's have about the pro's and con's of a console. They merely look at the price of a console, what their friends are playing and which console has games they are interested in.
Yes surely one can argue that Sony doesn't give the PS3 enough media exposure and that the RROD issue is a ...
And it's going to take some time before blu-rays start getting pirated, but sooner or later it's going to hit them too. Piracy is a huge problem for Sony and they still haven't "solved" it, PS2 games are so heavily pirated that I'd bet you many games have more pirate copies than retail copies sold.
