The PS3 has a better attach rate OVERALL, despite having such a hefty price tag. You don't think the eventual price drop will be the deciding factor for many to finally get the PS3? What about the exclusives? The 360 has some great exclusives as I have said before but this holiday and next is a PS3 owners wet dream.
The main point is that many people are on the verge of buying the PS3, I know 5 people who are waiting just for this and the funny thing is those people are avid 36...
The fact of the matter is that the PS3 has an amazing library more than capable of standing up to 360 exclusives, and it only seems to be getting better and first and foremost diverse, which is something the 360 sorely lacks.
This is not to say the 360 has bad games because I still spend a lot of time on my 360, and loving it but lately I have spent more and more time on my PS3, and yes it's because of the games.
Be a gamer and not a hater.
But one thing is true Sony wont settle for third place (even though they aren't from a pure sales perspective), but in seemingly everyones eyes they, are and this is why they are picking up the pace, bringing their A game (no pun intended).
I think MS is starting to boast the same c***iness for the 360 that Sony had for the PS3 and considering the circumstances I don't think they should, Sony has brought some awe inspiring exclusive this year and hopefully the hits will keep on coming...
What players seem prone to do is to boost to an area filled with people blast a rocket at the ground where the most people are and kill them selves in the process, takes 10 seconds and they can acheive a 3 to 1 kill ratio. Thats why I ALWAYS play on maps without assault.
The two games that offer something a little different on the horizon are Alan Wake and Splinter Cell Conviction, and NO this is not bashing the 360's games coz I play ME, Left 4 Dead, Gears 2 etc. as much as I play KZ2, Infamous, Uncharted, MGS4 etc.
We would be bored out of out mind waiting for the next innovating idea, many sequels and prequels try to improve on an idea that has attracted a lot of fans, if you are a fan of the franchise then you'd want to continue playing but you'd want changes to parts that become outdated.
And these so called crappy sequels like ME2, GoW III, Uncharted 2, Ratchet and Clank ACIT and many more happen to be my most anticipated and will probably be the best games to come out this year and next year...
The 360 has been out for a year more than the PS3 so divide 24 mill by 2.5 and 30 mill by 3.5 and there you go.

At first the attach rate was stronger for the PS3, showing stronger sales worldwide, not america and with time the sales have gone down because mostly people are awaiting a price cut and or games like God of War III to hit the market.
So if the PS3's price is eventually dropped we'll see stronger sales.

Likewise all you 360 touting MS followers need to buy a PS3, owning both consoles as a harcore gamer is key to being infact just that a hardcore gamer. It doesnt matter if one is better(not saying that one is) because both are so good that they are currently must buys, especially after 2010.

But by a marginal difference, Fallout 3 looks crisper cleaner and has a few less bugs, Ghostbusters looks significantly more vibrant and has some environmental textures that look slightly better than on the ps3, but in some cases the tide turns like for example with Prototype which was slightly better on the ps3.

But Visuals are a bonus not the defining factor of what makes a game great, sure Crysis look brilliant on full graphics but its a mediocre FPS, the same could be agrued with Killzone 2 but I have fallen in love with that game for unknnown reasons. One thing that can often be derived from a good looking game is that most of the time they have a skilled staff behind their game which obviously increases the chance of that game being a hit.
But the title as well as the article itself suggest that its derived from popular opinion, ie what should be our most anticipated games, because they are infact journalists that specialize in gaming and thus their job is infact to represent the popular opinion unless they have said otherwise.
And its not the sales figures that rate the quality of a game, people are idiots and are always going to buy that whih is most heavily advertised and popular as a franchise rather than innovative ...
