Ok, now I need to make friends with some EVE online players :-)
Have to admit, the Yakuza series is probably one of two open world games I don't ever get bored in!!! On top of that their stories and characters are fantastic and you really feel for them as you progress. Don't know how those guys in that team do it!
Agreed. Playing fighting games properly can ONLY be done with physical buttons for example. Can't imagine playing Tekken or Soul Calibur on a bloody touchscreen!
Myself and a friend of mine were actually discussing handhelds, the PS Vita & phones last and came to an different conclusion: we think the release of the Vita will make using smartphones redundant for anything other than making calls Here's the thing:
I own a HTC HD2 (my 8th smartphone I've owned)
I use it (in order of importance) for phone calls, text messaging, emails, music, to do lists/appointments, photos, Internet, Facebook, Googlemaps and games. <...
@No_Pantaloons
Lol sorry to disappoint you but I got the Sega Megadrive with Sonic the day it came out when I was younger. I think you need to go back and play it to refresh your memory because the only zones which you could sort of zip through would be Green Hill and Starlight zone and at a stretch Spring yard. You're not running through Marble Labyrinth or Scrap Brain.
If you 'so called' fans like the old days so much, just go and play the old...
I'm tired of these so called 'Sonic Fans' that ruin it for the real fans! They completely bitch and moan when someone adds something a little different to the series to stop it stagnating, so Sega have to pratically remake the same old stuff to shut them up!
What I really hate is these people always say that a Sonic game is always meant to be fast (which is bullshit, go play Sonic 1, it had fast sections but MOST of the game was sold platforming) I'm not alon...
Can't believe our police can't even spray those arseholes with water...WATER! That's how weak our police are at the moment. Shit, if I was a terrorist, I'd be rubbing my hands right about now..
Well the looters have just shot dead a 26 year old in his car in Croydon...when do we get to use force?
Man you gotta love Japan. Such respect for that country. Ashamed to be from England..
I'm always amused by these articles. Question who are the most foolish consumers?
A: Someone who buys a Vita for $250/£229 which should at least last them for maybe 5 6years (Maybe 3 if they release a lighter/ smaller model)
or
B: Someone who buys an IPad for $500/ £399....and then buys every other revision annually
How Apple doesn't get slaughtered for this business tactic in the media, I will never know... ...
Gotta love N4G. Two people disagreed that we in the UK
use pounds! lol
@Kyosuke....Now THAT would be amazing!!!!
Okay, I know this isn't retro, but man is this tune addicting and perfectly sums up the feeling while in the level:
Mirrors Edge - The Shard

Don't think that will work, SF is no way violent enough and it would look weird to see Ryu pull off a fatality. The Mortal Kombat team have already experimented putting their game against a non violent cast of characters:
MK vs DC
....and we all know how that turned out ;-)
Not sure what the big deal is. Why is everyone acting like fireballs in a 3d fighting game haven't been done: Battle Arena Toshinden series says hello.
At the very least, just make the fireballs for the SF characters have a long delay after they've used it like Devil Jin/ Devil Kazuya when they use the laser.
Hell, people forget Tekken 6 has projectiles....the secret item moves some characters can pull off. I often catch people off guard when throwin...
oh man, not this topic again....
My smartphone is used for making calls, surfing the internet and work. I remember when I used it once to play to play a cool 3d motorbike game called 'Xtract' during my lunch break at 12.00pm for 45mins. What happened? My phone was dead before 3pm. Couldn't receive calls, texts or do any light work on it. That's why I still need a dedicated games system...until the release a smartphone with an incredible battery life.
Don't think so. I've had several touch screen smart phones and one thing has been made abundantly clear to me: I hate using touch screens for gaming!!
I'm reading the comments above and one thing stands out to me. Whether the guy from the PR firm is right or wrong in what he said is actually irrelevant, but it seems a lot of you are hypocrites. How can you say 'Reviewers are entitled to their opinions' and then diss the PR firm guy for expressing his? Or are theses guys exempt from having the freedom of speech and having an actual opinion too?
The only people that should be annoyed at what the PR company said,...
Pretty intelligent article. Makes a lot of sense. If the the Wii U (man I hate that name) was a complete powerhouse which cost alot to make but had to sell it at a loss....and then it did badly, Nintendo would probably turn into Sega. As the article rightly states, video games are Nintendos only revenue, they really can't afford to make huge losses. To be honest, I'm surprised they didn't just go after the casual market again with a different device which cost a lot less to make...
@Kran
I'd love to hear from the people who disagreed with you, to hear their counter argument...but this is N4G, home of the anonymous cowards...
