It's not as if a Tekken game comes out every year unlike some other franchises...
I'm a Tekken fan and I'm not starving! Loved Tekken 6 and going to get Tekken Hybrid later today. I want Tekken Tag Tournament in HD as I haven't played it for about 6 years or more. I bought a launch Japanese PS2 and it came with it. Brilliant game. Don't care about the movie but I am looking forward to the demo.
I'm with PirateThorn. I used to love zombie games as I loved the movie 'Dawn of the Dead' but I'm all burnt out!! Seriously in this generation alone:
Dead Rising
Dead Rising 2
Left 4 Dead
Left 4 Dead 2
Zombie Apocalypse
Zombie Apocalypse 2
Dead Nation
Burn Zombie Burn
Dead Island
Resident Evil 5
Blood Siren (the only 'zombie' game which was actually very creepy)
Yak...
I bought Blur and really love it! Next, I'm gonna pick up Split Second.
lol nice 'Taken' reference
.....and I guess I won't be buying the next Dead Space then. <sigh> it's turning into the bloody fps generation!! Thank goodness for games like Dark Souls...
I actually don't mind 'too' much about the hair color business....
....I do give a crap that every Devil May Cry (On the bloody PS2 and PS3/Xbox 360) ran at 60fps and this one doesn't..
He's definitely onto something. The Official Playstation magazine is going to reveal something big very soon

A lot of people here are gonna eat some big ass humble pie...
lol damn, talk about getting caught red handed! Man, I never trusted review scores, as I relied on the actual written content of the review to sort of give me an idea about whether I should or should not purchase a game.(Of course I don't always agree with the review...I bought Lair and loved it!)....but it seems you can't even rely on that these days...
I think I'll just stick to playing demos and listening to my friends to see if a game is worth the £40
If all you care about is homebrew, why not just get the psp? Interestingly, the Vita looks more capable than the Wii.
As for me, just dropped £530 on a new phone after 2 years of waiting for a decent upgrade...I'll gladly pay £230...but I'm glad it's not out in the UK until next March :-)
That's a very good question. Gotta admit, I'm tempted to import one myself but I've got way too many games to finish and buy :-)
If Grant Turismo is good enough for Jeremy Clarkson (No,I'm not talking voice overs, |I'm talking about the time when Clarkson played GT4 on TopGear on Laguna Seca...and then try to beat his time in real life) David Coultard, Sebastian Vittel (Yes, he's said many times hes uses GT to practice) and Lewis Hamilton (among others)...
...then it's good enough for me ;-)
Lol it'll will never end. How would websites get their hits? :-)
Even if they gave G5 1/100 and Forza 4 100/100, I'd STILL buy GT5 over Forza 4. What Forza does, it does well but there's simply too much to do in GT5. It stopped me buying F1 2011, a Nascar game and the new Dirt. (hell, it's even got bloody go karts Don't get me wrong, those games to a better hjob dealing with their singular respective sub-genres than GT5, but since I have everything in one place (including weather and dynamic time of day) I just cant justify buying another...
The funny thing is, I own and have finished everyone of those games....and *shock horror* I actually finisher Lair with the motion controls twice and hated the patch with 'regular controls'
A great and well written article...and I fully agree with your point of view!
...yeah, because streetlights don't exist right? :-)
Pc gaming died for me personally after I spent 2 years on FF11 online. Just hasn't got as much variety of genres or at least the ones I like the most
Platformers
Fighting Games
JRPGs
Though I do generally feel sorry for you 3ds early adopters, you should of known Nintendo's past track record! Look at how many iterations they do of a handheld. Also, if you're gonna buy a new console, how about you wait for some games you like so you can actually play on it!
To all of those that feel they got burnt, my advice: Do not get the bloody Wii U until at least 6 months or so!!
I've got EA Sports Active 2 the other day for the PS3 which interestingly doesn't use the Move at all, but comes with 3 motion sensors which so far work perfectly (2 for the arms 1 for a leg) giving me a full body (painful) workout :-) This I heard is the best version as it doesn't need the camera so you don't need as much space as the Kinect and you don't need to worry about lighting conditions.
