Besides your list proved my point. The 3DS only took over it because it had that price drop. Before that happened, the PSP was taking over everything...and what jdfoster above me said :-)

Look how the psp is doing in Japan...it's kicking EVERYTHING's ass. Once Monster Hunter came out, it solidified it completely in Japan. Capcom even said that Monster Hunter 2nd G on the PSP is the best selling game they have had...ever! (Including the mighty Streetfighter!) It even took out Pokemon!
I for one don't see the Japanese wanting to play a Monster Hunte...

Ah I remember when I got my PS2...
I heard about it when it came out in Japan...and decided I couldn't wait for a UK release, so I imported it for £450 (Sold a shit ton of stuff and used some of my university loan!)
Got Ridge Racer and Tekken Tag Tournament. Funny that I had a ton of visitors everyday at my university halls of residence lol
I think Demon Souls had the best consequences for this sort of thing. You kill an NPC in the Nexus, kiss goodbye to any magic/items/storage/repairs that NPC would've provided for the entire game!

I don't have a gaming PC, I have a sleek media PC instead which does everything under the sun but play any great looking games (at least it doesn't use an integrated Intel graphics card, but the Geforce 8400M GT isn't that great either) but I've been looking at the PC version of Battlefield 3 and I really want to play it at top spec.
The thing is, I'm still waiting for someone to show me how to make a PC that can run that game at FULL SPEC for £300 or...
