Never mind me...
I'm really fond of Mythos tbh :) Been playing the beta a bit, and it will be nice if they just fix the little lag I experienced when playing, it would be a perfect pastime at work, lol.
I am an avid WoW player, but this is like the most minor of news from WoW there could be. They ALWAYS have some sort of free migration active!!!
If you want the lates, check out some of the fansites like wow.incgamers.com (English) or www.worldofwar.se (Swedish) for example.
I seriously do NOT think this is even REMOTELY newsworthy for N4G. I am surprised to see anyone post it here, even more so to get 140 degrees.
I think the reason many of them flopped is the fact that they just have not understood what WoW does so well. In the end, yes, they have flopped compared to WoW, but if you compare it to the dawn of MMO's, many of them can stand on their own (even if barely).
WoW might be the biggest thing out there, but it also makes the whole market bigger, and while WoW still sells 3/10 top-10 during whole last year (just the game boxes), people also quite WoW and try other games.
...
Never thought of a MMORTS before. Would be a lot like EVE, but to an even grander scale! You'd have a small army instead, for each player :)
I wonder if it would work though. Sorry to say, I am a Blizz-ho, and would gulp down any game they sell! =P
Well, any mentions of "Starcraft Online" makes me cringle =D
It's fun when you think about it. Mythos might actually have a better chance at becoming a steady income for Flagship than their "flagship" Hellgate: London!
The feeling I got when playing the closed beta at BlizzCon was that it had about a year left or so. So much things has happened since then, so a late summer '08 seems good still.
Wow, didn't think this would even come up! Fox tried to have a "friendly chat" discussing their problems instead of making a proper apology.
Still, who watches Fox news anyway, except for the odd laugh?
@ cjp4eva - Lol. Get some sedatives.
@ "News" - This is like 2-3 weeks old!
And isn't this old news? Haven't that "community" button been there for EVER on the SC2.com?
Well, this one came out of the blue :)
Just because IGN re-posts the images, doesn't mean they are new. This is OLD NEWS.
You haven't played this game since release, have you?
The link is incorrect. Should be: http://www.hellgatelondon.c...
According to N4G guidelines on making articles.
Looks a lot like WoW tbh. A bit different graphics, but many of the ingame solutions look a LOT like WoW.
No no, SNES for the win! :)
I think he was going for starting a band or something before starting to work for Blizzard. Or am I thinking of some other game developer?
The question is... Is there any salvation to be had? =)
I think they might be able to gain some players as they improve and add, but it sucks SO hard that Bill Roper and the boys had to screw up the release of their first game by releasing too early.
Oh well, perhaps they survive to have a new try. The game hasn't been released in Korea yet, and by the time it is, it will work as intended.
BTW, this news article on N4G is SOOO understated. there are three BIG news in this article, and none of them are mentioned.
- New Hero Class
- Emerald Dream access
- Death Knight story updated
