I agree, specs are fine, I wouldn't want to play a SC2 that only required 512 MB RAM. It's the bandwidth I'm worried about. It will limit me to play just a few hours per day, or Virgin Media will screw me over ("Unlimited", my 4ss!)
One wonders how things would have gone for Hellgate if it was released when it was DONE?
While the internet connection requirement probably isn't real, I could wager the other specs are...
This might be the easiest, and correct answer =)
In Korea?
You kidding me, all gaming is done in their Internet cafes (Bangs or whatever they are called)...
That's true. Why would they need 1Mb of internet for it?
Yeah, same with StarCraft. I have a hard time believing that they actually need that much bandwith. Living in the UK, I'd have to limit my gaming to a few hours a week or be set to 0.01 Mb (yes, Virgin Media does that, google it)!
1 Mb just to PLAY it? Recommended is even worse!
"is the sh!t" usually means that it's good....
And more and more things lean towards a D3 at WWI. Possibly BlizzCon, but WWI would be so much better timing.
The thing is that even if people stop playing WoW, there are still mroe people starting to play than are quitting, in the last few months there was an increase of 0.7 million users, for instance.
As with all MMOs, I think we'll see people playing WoW in 6 years time, even if that's just a fraction of the current playerbase. I think there will be enough players playing for it to be un-economical for Blizzard to discontinue the game for a LONG long time.
Take a look at it while you can, it seems Blizzard asks sites to take such material down.
Still, can't help but wonder. This gives a LOT of publicity to WoW, on AoC's release day. Could it be intentional?
Highly likely that the Lich King Closed Beta will either have started at BlizzCon 2008, or before that. Thinking of timing, it's more likely to start in October, but by that time we'll have a pretty finished product!
Great news!
WoW-killer? =)
no, probably not, but perhaps something to bring the mature audience somewhere =)
Love the bear mount =) Icebar mount = teh win
Yes, I have played it, it was playable LAST YEAR on BlizzCon, just mentioning that it might NOT be is STUPID! How did this sh!tty article get approved?!
Not only that, but it will be playable on WWI in June! This makes me really annoyed!
It was always like that, what are you on about? =)
I can accept that gear makes much matter, as it IS a RPG, but there should be more effort put into making the game slightly better at 1v1 balance, as it helps a lot for the XvX as well, making skill most important. Tournament Realms are a place where everyone have equal gear, and where only class and skill are the factors. Making that into only skills is a priority imho.
I really like the review of the gameplay by the fact that there are timestamp references to the video about Northrend in the same thing, seeing as how Blizzard have prevented the use of custom screenshots, or bootleg ones =P
Why do they have to be so hard on that?
I'm in love with the Lore, what can I do? =)
BTW, I think Diablo 3 might be announced on WWI. I'm pretty sure diabloii.net will send people, so that's a hint.
It was news a few days ago that Dell (I think), and/or some other companies have been able to continue selling XP openly, by using it under a "Vista downgrade" license. Basically, you get XP, that works, and M$ can say they sold another Vista license.
Sure, that might be shooting themselves in the foot, as M$ will claim Vista is going OK, but at the same time, what are the options? Rather having XP, and let M$ think you like Vista, or having a PC that you can't run? I...
This was already reported on:

Should have been put as an alternate source there, and it's in the "gaming" channel, which is incorrect.
Not to mention the fact that the ORIGINAL item's source also have the same statement from early yesterday!
