Me neither. COD hasn't been about the SP campaign for a long time.
@DarkZane
Don't know where you got your info but we've had cross gen games since the PS2/Xbox era. Don't know where you got the assumption that Xbox is going anywhere either.
@JonTheGod
You know what I meant. Cheaper than a PC that runs as well. Don't know how a typo makes me an idiot.
Not really. Still a lot cheaper than a PC of the same price.
Both the PS4 Pro and the Xbox One X will play next gen games. So will the base models depending on how well they hold up. lmao
MGSV is one of the outliers. Very few 60 fps open world games. And the rest you mentioned aren't remotely demanding.
No we won't. 4K sure. But 60 fps will never be the target if the game isn't competitive or skill based. As long as graphics sell consoles, 60 fps will never be priority for devs.
“It'd be a big shock if Microsoft managed to partner with a developer Sony had traditionally been in bed with.”
They already have. Insomniac
By success I'm not talking about whether they stay or not. I'm talking about money made. A single player flop is much more detrimental than a multiplayer flop. Would you want to lose a big sack of ring pops or an actual diamond ring? Most would go with the former as the latter is a lot harder to replace. More expensive and time consuming to make.
Let's be realistic. They aren't going anywhere. But there's still hope that laws come into play that keeps devs from abusing them.
The thing is, even if a multiplayer game flops, mp games are much cheaper to make and take less time make. For every one successful single player game there's 2 or 3 successful multiplayer games. Multiplayer allows devs more attempts at potentially getting a hit. Single player games either have to be a hit or take a big loss. Unless it's a small scale single player game. AA single player games allow a little more leeway for the devs but ultimately still end up taking more time and mon...
"honestly the memory of a great story far exceeds any multiplayer experience I've ever had. I'm sure many, many people feel the Same."
I have to disagree on this part. A memory of a story game will always be the same. There are infinite possibilities for multiplayer. That's why there are more clips of multiplayer games than single player. Not much use in recording something that everyone that's played the game has or will see. But people flock to v...
Multiplayer games are cheaper to make and at the same time more profitable. Very little voice acting, mocap, or writing needed. Just some artists, devs, and some game testers and/or betas. It's about which hurts the pockets less. Not about which you think is better. If single player all of a sudden became cheaper then they would be getting more focus. But fanboys get into their own heads and start to insult others for liking what they like because it doesn't align with theirs, and the...
Cross gen
Single player games will never become obsolete. They will become the least played option though as multiplayer focused games continue to increase their cinematic value. Tbh, multiplayer has always been more popular than single player. But every time I jump on a game I don't want to have to compete though. And that's where single player comes in.
Red Dead in modern times is just Max Payne
Eastern gaming isn't any more important than any other region's. They have all contributed classic games. If anyone's ignorant it's you. You liking Japanese games more than others doesn't make them more important. They are all vital to the industry.
The article says the Xbox needs Japanese games. I'm saying it doesn't matter where the games come from as long as they're good. Therefore, I'm saying they could come from a plethora of different places including Japan. What I said in no way undermined Japanese games. Again comprehension skills are needed.
It be a very one sided market that's for sure.
The abilities and perks are less powerful than those in BO3.
