Diablo 4 releases on PC, Xbox series, Xbox One, PS5 and PS4. FFXVI releases on PS5.
FFXVI might take some of PS5 sales, but it's unlikely to hurt much of Diablo 4 total sales.
Xbox 360 had exclusives and it did pretty well.
Microsoft need quality console exclusive games... without that, no way in hell they have a chance.
@Mr_cheese
Sony aren't the victim. In the gaming console business Sony are the bully, and have been the bully for quite some time.
@sinspirit
You must have very selective memory.
How many times have we seen Sony whining about this Activision Blizzard purchase?... countless times.
Sony are the biggest console gaming company, and yet they always think themselves as the victim. It's like a bully crying when they get bullied.
If Michael Pachter say's it's going to happen... then it's not going to happen.
Sony's money will compensate any losses by Square...
Playstation fanboys really are the worst! Full-blown hypocrites.
As for the Bethesda purchase, yes it was good investment by Microsoft. It would also have been a good investment if Sony purchased them, but that didn't happen... so move on already.
€14.99 per month. The price tag is absurd...
Ubisoft! You're drunk, go home.
So it begins...
Surprising about Square! Wasn't Sony's money enough to turn a profit?
The amount of crap Square release is absurd. They released about 20 games in 2022, and most of them are worthless.
I'm talking about single-player games that have denuvo.
For example, if denuvo servers go down, all the games on the list become unplayable...
https://store.steampowered....
Can you guaranty the Denuvo servers will exist forever? What if in 5 years Denuvo disappears for some reason and the servers go down?
You purchased a game that has denuvo, you install it but can't play ... then what?
The best internet on Earth isn't going to fix that problem.
Unfortunately PC gamers are getting used to this. Several PC single-player games are using the Denuvo protection (including Redfall), and that protection always phones home if you want to play the game.
No internet... can't play.
If Denuvo servers go down... can't play.
Basically, you pay full price for the game, but you don't really own the game.
Basically paying more to be a beta tester.... Really smart!
Sony fanboys always act like victims!... when they are the worst trolls, specially here on N4G. Unbelievable, the hypocrisy.
As for the always online single-player, it's bad when anybody does it, that being developer Sony, Microsoft or other.
Microsoft really don't understand the gaming business. Without exclusives, sales will decline. If you don't have exclusives to launch, purchase 3rd party exclusives the way Sony does. That's how you outsell the competition.
Contrary to popular belief, Phil really is doing a lousy job in front of the gaming division.
Microsoft need a great showing tomorrow, with quality exclusives.
Not surprised with the reviews. Square must be feeling pretty happy with the Sony exclusive console deal.
As for the PC version, 80€ for this game is absurd.
My opinion is the most important one. Played Hogwarts Legacy, and finished the main story. It's a good open world game (set in a the fascinating magic world of the Harry Potter universe), with interesting gameplay, story and side-quests.
I give Hogwarts Legacy a 8 out of 10.
Hogwarts Legacy is a sales success, hope the developer does a sequel.
