If we take a look at Sony's and Microsoft's exclusives games in this generation of consoles so far, that will explain a lot about the discrepancy of sales between PS5 and Xbox Series.
In these 2,5 years, Xbox Series have 4-5 exclusives worth mentioning. PS5 like has 3 or 4 times that number.
Microsoft need a constant stream of exclusive games if they want to compete with Sony. Without exclusive games, they won't sell consoles.
Where did you get those percentages for Playstation, Xbox and PC sales of FF15?
Do you remember everything you say, even years after saying it?
Phil says so many things, I doubt he remembers 10% of what he says. We can all agree that he should talk a lot less.
Phil's likely waiting for Starfield results before making up his mind. If Starfield is a success without Playstation, then Elder Scrolls 6 could be a exclusive.
Everybody involved in this ordeal should be disappointed with their own behavior... that being Sony, Activision, Microsoft and specialy all the idiot fanboys.
@LoveSpuds
We are getting more quality TV shows then ever before... Yes, we get a lot of crap on TV, but we also get a lot of quality shows. We just got The Last of Us TV show a few weeks back.
Do you honestly believe we had better quality TV shows before the streaming services?
@badz149
There were streaming services offering the first month free. Microsoft was taking $1.
@EvertonFC
Gamepass is already profitable and didn't take 15 years. I'll let that sink in.
So you are saying all streaming services aren't stable, profitable or sustainable.
Somebody should warn Netflix, Disney, Amazon, etc.
I'm normally done with a game in a month. Prefer spending 10€ a month, then pay 80€ for a game. If Microsoft drastically increases the Gamepass price in the future, then I would likely just purchase the game I'm interested.
Actually, they do keep those deals private... so does Microsoft and Nintendo.
Well, Sony open the the hornet's nest. Now they must deal with the consequences.
Many people claim Final Fantasy doesn't sell on Xbox. Basically, Sony doesn't need those Final Fantasy exclusives deals, since the Xbox market is irrelevant for japanese games. So by their logic, Sony is just throwing away money on these deals... apparently, the American Congress doesn't agree with those people.
Looks interesting.
Nobody is forcing you.
Enjoy paying 80€ for each game.
GamePass is already profitable... even without exclusives.
With exclusives, it will increase subscriptions.
$1 offer wasn't going to last forever, and everybody knew it.
Game Pass is already profitable, and, with the exclusives it's getting in the next few months it will increase subscriptions.
Final Fantasy 15 likely sold one/two million copies on the Xbox (yes, it sold less then the Playatation version, but there's still money to be made). Do you honestly believe Square wasn't planing to bring FF7 Remake and FF16 to Xbox before the Sony deal? ... You can't be that naive...
You're still blowing hot air.
He's personal opinion about liking or not liking exclusives is irrelevant. Everybody is entitled to their opinion. Did he actually claim Microsoft will bring all their games to Sony's platform?
If Jim Ryan offers an opinion about something, will that automatically become valid for Sony?
You still haven't figured it out? ... Microsoft's main objective for the future is to bring Gamepass to every p...
The Initiative in 5 years have nothing.
How come Microsoft hasn't disbanded them?
