In all the years I've been gaming, never seen so much hate for a game as Starfield... and the game isn't out yet.

Bethesda likely have a exclusive contract with AMD, so obviously no Nvidia DLSS or Intel XeSS... just like Nvidia have exclusive contracts with other PC games for DLSS.
If you want Nvidia DLSS or Intel XeSS, wait for a mod.

@KyRo

Who the hell is talking about Bethesda games? If Starfield is badly optimized on release, it should be criticized.

We are talking about Baldur's Gate 3, and the 3rd act is absurdly bad optimized. There are places in the city (3rd act) that FPS's reach single digits.

Baldur's Gate 3 is a great game, but so many perfect reviews is absurd for a game that runs like a turd. It's very badly optimized, specially the 3rd act.

These developers got what they wanted... publicity for their game.
There is no easier way to get publicity then to bash the Xbox, and with that getting all the clicks from Sony fanboys.

Don't think Sony gamers have thought this through... just have to say, Be Careful What you Wish For.

If I was Sony gamer, would be praying for Microsoft to purchase Activision. COD will continue being mutiplat and Playstation gamers wouldn't loose much. Microsoft wouldn't be aloud to purchase any more big studio/publishers.

If Microsoft don't purchase Activision, they will go after other developers that Sony gamers actually might care abou...

@Kakashi Hatake
Microsoft aren't buying all publishers.

... and since the FTA can't explain why the Activision Microsoft deal is harmful for consumers (they were only worried about Sony), would you care to enlighten us why the deal is harmful for consumers?

Microsoft points a gun to their head and shoots them if they don't sign the deal. /s

You've seen The Godfather way too many times.

Wouldn't Sony games make more money if they released simultaneously on the Switch, Xbox, PC?
Wouldn't Nintendo games make more money if they released simultaneously on the PS5, Xbox, PC?

Both the CMA and FTC know they have a shitty justification to block this deal... that's why they're relying heavily on time. Their objective is delay, delay, delay... until the breakup date.

If Microsoft doesn't lock this Activision deal, they have every justification to take the CMA and FTC to court and demand compensation. They had no valid reason to block the deal. The CMA and FTC's main concern has always been about Sony, never about consumers.

Does Microsoft force developers to launch their games on Gamepass?

939d ago 13 agree22 disagreeView comment

The problem with the FTC is that they are more worried about what's harmful to Sony then what's harmful to consumers. They clearly showed their bias during the trial. Even the judge noticed it.

This is taken from another news report related to the trial...
"...Corley has shown skepticism of the FTC’s arguments against the Activision deal, particularly on Thursday when she stopped the agency’s lead attorney during his closing arguments to ask him to pin...

As time goes by it's not surprising Gamepass becoming more expensive. Nobody is forced to have Gamepass. There is always the option to purchase games.
The market will define the price of Gamepass. If Microsoft stretches the line, consumers will simply say... No, not interested.

@Seraphim
What that tells us is the game released in 2015 selling one million on the Xbox at launch. 2 years later the game had sold 7 million on all platforms.

So... in 2017...
How many copies did it sell on Xbox (it didn't stop at 1 million at launch)?
How many copies did it sell on PC?
How many copies did it sell on Playstation (game released in 2016)?

and the big question is...
Did the game have good sa...

Take the example of the Rise of the Tomb Raider one year Xbox exclusivity. After that time, Sony gamers really didn't care about purchasing the game.

940d ago 2 agree5 disagreeView comment

After a year, very few people really care about timed exclusives.
That's the problem with timed exclusives, hardly anybody cares about those games after the timed exclusive period.

Sony basically owns Square. Why buy the cow when you can get the milk for free.

EDIT:
Just googled... Sony already owns a percentage of Square.

Microsoft might not like exclusives, but the Xbox need exclusives. Xbox will die without exclusives. Many people complained that Xbox had few or none exclusives.
If not for exclusives, nobody would purchase a Switch or PS5.
