In his first review he commented that he had NOT beaten the game. That he only got to a certain point and that he knew the game got more dramatic due to seeing a scene from further in the game.
In this review he still states he has not finished the game and hasn't even put in a full 12hrs on the game yet.
He should have called it a preview instead of a review, or something.

I'm not the guy that disagreed with you before, but I will now. Financially I have lost nothing really, as there are times that I don't use XBox Live. i.e. when working, sleeping, eating, etc. But seeing that my time is precious and it is difficult to find chances to free up the time to really enjoy my XBox Live, this has been the worst of times for this to happen.
I am still an avid XBox Live supporter. The service has been next to brilliant my time spent with it. Which happen...

Was thinking for a second that my Gamertag got hijacked.
I was playing COD4, finally got my 100 kills with the sniper rifle (I hate sniper rifles, but I needed to get the scope) Just inches away from going into officer grade. (not that bad after 14-16hrs, not non-stop... but close)

I read the whole article and felt that it was a well written defence of Game Journalists. I don't see it as anything but the Journalistic community cleaning it's own gutters.
Better from the inside then the outside, the only thing that could have made this better would be Mercury Games coming clean and admitting that this was as close to the worst review to date by a proposed Gaming Journalist. (at least as I have seen in a long time)
But Mercury is loving any attention...
The article nailed it. Mass Effect is not the perfect game but it is a great RPG! He identified the poor review given by a less then journalistic journalist.

1. Price
2. Simple games even old people can play
3. Advertisement campaign makes it look attractive to FAMILIES, and who has the purchase power in a family..? The MOM!!!!
4. Low supply Hype... people love to get things that are hard to get.
5. Kids games... it is a system for kids and once again... MOM is the one that gets the nod on what the kids really need.
