Wrong again SOP. Just because a TV supports 1080P does not mean that every resolution beneath it will work too. As an example: I have a few HD TV's and one of my earlier wide screens does not support. 720P. (yes, odd but it was early in HD tech and I figured that I only needed the 2 resolutions... who would use the middle 720P as the standard? haha)

I would add Shenmue II for the Dreamcast. And I would not add any game that can be played on an upgraded system. i.e. anything XBox that can be played on the XBox360 or PS1/PS2 that can be played on the PS3. Companies aren't loosing as much when doing this because they can make sales if the game is good enough to purchase and play on the updated system.
Doubled? Is that over the whole system or attach rate? I doubt the attach rate has doubled. And I would expect the whole system rate to double with the increase in PS3 sales throughout the year. And where are your numbers for this?
I think a better comparison would be from the VHS jump to the Laser Disk. As we all have seen, that Laser Disk thing didn't fair too well. Yes a lot of people actually bought the Laser Disk, but it was replaced soon with the DVD. People aren't ready for Bluray... and when they are ready to upgrade, a newer better format will already be ready to jump in. Bluray is not the future... Bluray is the Laser Disk of our time. No it will not automatically upscale if you have all settings ticked. It will run the media at the native resolution for the media.

If your TV has the capabilities to run all resolutions then it will choose the native resolution. If your TV is set so that it only will display at 1080P then if it WILL upscale the video so that it plays at that reslotion. Basically multiplying pixels to fill holes that would otherwise not exist due to the resolution of the actual media...
I would not say that PS3 has no AAA titles, but they do have fewer choices in good games.
The 360 with it's larger attach rate will out sell the PS3 by a larger margin in the end. Currently the 360 buyers are 1. Having difficulty getting copies and 2. They are currently still playing NUMEROUS games they already have.

That was 7 million units sold, not 7 million on-line. They claimed they didn't have the count on the PS3 due to a different numbering system. Only point given that the count was "monstrously huge". The "even more on other systems" gramatically states that the total count is more then what just the XBox 360 numbers total, due to online PS3 and PC users.

Your native 1080p TV, does it have options for any other resolutions within it's settings?
If your signal says 720p then that is what you are viewing. Though the capabilities of the TV to display 1080p natively is there you are still viewing at 720p.
