Actually it would improve the frame rate but not so much that it would serve as any huge advantage over a 12x DVD speed. But it would improve it over the slower speed of the Bluray. Lucky for PS3 users that they have the option to upgrade their HDDs looks like they are going to need it.
You might need to fix your stop watch?
What you don't mention is that you are having to do a 20 minute download just to match what the XBox 360 can do without such a download.
That doesn't upset you? What about when you choose to upgrade that hard drive in the future and you want to copy all your files to it. Are you going to enjoy that long transfer time of all those... WAIT... never mind. You only got 3 games maybe for each system owned anyways. Not a big deal for real fans I guess.
You are incorrect Zambrota... the Bluray 2X player that is used in the PS3 is not faster at reading then the 12X DVD system in the XBox 360. The PS3 has one of the lowest quality Bluray players on the market currently. And constant speed is only constant when the disc is spinning. Access time changes when the disc has to spin up to read, thus effecting the constant variable of the Bluray player. A Bluray movie is no issue. Constant rate with constant play. (still at the X2 speed limit though)...
I thought you were going to say the Koran.
10years life?? Not with the current Bluray player they have in the PS3. It is already low of the low budget players. In a few years it will be out paced by much better Bluray players on the market that it will look comparable to a 2X DVD player and a 24X DVD player now. A joke in speed and function. 10year life my ass!!!!
You're just upset because you have to download the game to your hard drive just to get comparable load times to the XBox 360 without it having to do any downloading to the HDD.
And the speed time on the Bluray is slower then that of the 12X DVD on the XBox 360. Live with it. Now if they upgraded the Bluray to say a 6X then it would speed it up. But the PS3 has one of the lowest Bluray players built in.
Actually as of 5 Feb XBox 360 had 52% of the sales versus 49% of the sales for PS3 in comparison of the 2 systems for BP. So not sure what moment you were living in?

The truth is, CVG, that without this mandatory 5 GB install the loading times on the PS3 version would be 2-3 times slower than the Xbox 360 due to the slower read speed of the Blu-ray drive, which would then become a big issue for PS3 owners. By enforcing an install, Capcom are ensuring that no PS3 owner has to complain about long loading times in a game that traditionally doesn't have any."

Sorry but they left out the best nudity in any game. The Yakyuken Special on Sega Saturn!

Dreamcast was close but I had internet available for my Saturn system. XBox did not have the first internet connection on console but it did have the first useable cross console online service. Saturn and Dreamcast were little more then access portals to the internet.
Wavebird was not the first wireless product that came to market. 2600 wireless controller was available prior to it and used some of it's technology to create the Wavebird (it used RF signal)
But XB...
How do I know this is bullcrap journalism? Because I don't use VALVE!!! Why? Because PC gaming is NOT the future. VALVE is PC gaming and does nothing for consoles. EA is the console king currently and valve has no leverage now nor in the future to have the capabilites to put a claim on EA's purchase.
This article is crazy. PC gaming has petered off to nothing in the gaming world. No one really cares that more about it. Is it always going to be there? YES! Will it ever take back...
Actually the XBox 360 people can switch out their HDD whenever the feel too. They just currently only have the 2 options to choose from. But I can transfer my files to my computer if I want to free up space,,, via my media connection. So that pretty much frees up the need to change hard drives and pay extra money to buy extra ones.
But really... 5GB??? WOw... why does Sony use Bluray again? So they can give you more memory on the disk so that you can transfer it to your hard dr...
Ha... that was funny but I don't beleive that PS3 players actually play the games prior to review do they? Don't they just rate it versus what they are told to rate it as?
Just a joke... don't go getting nancy boy on me.
It appears that you are actually getting more time then that. Yes the difference between the 360 and PS3 is only that small amount of time with the load to the HDD. But if you did NOT load to the HDD then the load times on the PS3 are MUCH worse then the XBox 360. (or am I reading this wrong?)It said something like 2 to 3 times the load times without the 21 minute download to the HDD. Because the reading speed of the Bluray? I didn't know that was actually a factor with the Buray disks? Anyon...
But yet XBox 360 version of Burnout Paradise will STILL outsell the PS3 skew of the game!!!
I see no issue with making a game that requiresan HDD. The core users new the option was going to be inevitable from the get go on the HDD requierment. So they have the option of purchasing an HDD if they wish to play BP.
How exactly have they been owned again? I must have been absent that day.
PS3 hasn't owned on ANYTHING so far. But we keep hearing it is coming. Still waiting patiently.
I picked up the game cheap for the 360 and it is an ok game. Graphics are less then spectacular but it does have a CSI feel to it.
If you like CSI then you will like the game. There is no real way of loosing in the game... you basically look for stuff... find it... and then ask for permission to arrest the criminal.
You do second guess who is the criminal in the case at times... but ultimately you just are playing a very linear game in that you have to find the ...
Help me out with this. What is HD audio? Too lazy today to google crap.
I would be making MS so much money if they would allow me to actually download some friggin movies and stuff!!!
I hate that being in the military overseas excludes me from being able to purchase most anything on the marketplace due to being overseas!!! CRAP!!! My region is not allowed to download crap...! hate it...!
I can't WAIT for someone to figure out how to get around this is...
Sorry to be graphic here but that is like saying... "Hey, I'll just watch some TV while someone cornholes me. And then afterwards I'll forget it even happened." Except for that big pain in your @SS! Face it, the system is screwing with you and all you can say is lets watch some TV?
Small downloads might not effect you that much. Small save files, add ons... blah, blah, blah. But when you eventually are saving 5 GB of data to your HDD for each major title then you are g...
