Both RPGs but two really separate feels to them. Skyrm is more a true RPG while Dark Souls appears more like a fighter with RPG elements added in.
Many of the games are region free. they may not be advertised anyplace outside of Japan but just go to PlayAsia.com or other online retailers to purchase.
Just an example: http://www.play-asia.com/pa...
That is true but if you look at the titles that are in the stores they are very low budget for the most part. The titles that don't make it out of Japan usually don't for a reason. They are the typical... redundant fanfare that they know will sell to the local gaming community regardless of quality.
Just a few examples:
Love Death
Gal*Gun
Doki Doki Majo Shinpan!
Super Galdelic Hour
Derby Stallion
All weird games...
It would seem simple enough to change the date on your clock to allow you to play the game without getting mauled. Don't see any other way for them to be able to ascertain that the game is bought before the sales date?
Seeing that internet connectivity is not required for the game.
EDIT: disregard just read that it is for the online portion of the game that it will effect people.
Edit to the Edit: Just looked and the PS3 version is not re...
@Muffins1223
You do realize that Gears is not a FPS game don't you? How do you make a point that Xbox only dominates in just FPS exclusives and then give example using one FPS and one TPS game?
@Persistantthug
Why did you claim 5+ million for MGS 4 and then link to an article showing only 706,461 copies sold? At least supply a link that helps to make your point.
And then you link to the same data that showed GTA 5 as selling a lot but that only justifies the statements made by SuperBeast811, when he said that GT5 is the the only game that has sold more then Gears. I guess what we fail to realize is that GT5: Prologue was basically a beta that was so...
Lets see the links and data to prove this point. I am willing to listen but you need to show me some factual representation of this. (and don't just take 2 games and compare them... doesn't work that way)
So it looks like at least there will be a vast variety of skins in the multiplayer game. Might be interesting seeing the leagues with their own designated colors that they use.
Here is the list of DLC for Gears 3:
Weapon Skin Bundle - Deadly Cute Set
240
Lancer Complete Launch Collection Skin
1200
Weapon Skin Bundle - Haze Set
240
Shotguns Launch Collection Weapon Skin
1200
Gears of War 3 Season Pass
2400
Weapon Skin Collection - Launch Collection
3600
Weapon Skin Bundle - Desert Digital Camo Set

Ha... I can picture it now. A squad of Rainbow Patrol, taking down the enemy.
@onyoursistersback
Yes that is a temporary sale promotion between Sony and Capcom. Helping to promote PSN+.
When Resistance first came out wasn't it hailed as the Halo killer? It couldn't even live up to Gears let alone Halo.

I like looking back and seeing predictions and how they actually come about:

Michael Bay is a tool.
And I don't see why everyone fell all over Transformers. I mean really... huge aliens from outer space that happen to transform into Earth vehicles. Lame for a cartoon promoting toys and even lamer to sell it to grown @ss adults that should know better.
Next thing you know they will make a movie about Smurfs or something...
I am simply calling you on your assumption that Resistance 3 was not mainstream. YOU are the one that said it wasn't... and the Resistance franchise on the PS3 is about as mainstream as they come. Maybe the latest game didn't get much advertising for it but that doesn't take away from it's mainstream banner that it has had on the PS3.
"BTW there are many good games that Nintendo and 360 gamers seem to ignore as well in favor of more mainstream games but strange how that is never pointed out."... are you trying to say Resistance 3 is not mainstream?
I think the main issue with DA2 was that it felt like a watered down version of DAO. It felt like you had less choice in where to go. And I didn't enjoy the battles as much.
If it was a completely different title from DAO then it wouldn't have gotten as hard a review possibly? Due to not having to be compared directly with the first game in the series which was so much superior.
As one poster highlighted a conversation with a Bioware employee "...
"Dragon Age: Origins was pretty epic, I only picked it up a month ago as I had completely missed the fact it had been released." What were you just released from Guantanamo or something? That game even has a sequel out now. If you have a huge void left after playing Origins then just simply pick up the Awakening expansion. Void filled.
p.s. don't pick-up Dragon Age 2 though... it lacks what Origins had.
I can't believe the numbers of trolls on this post? Are people so annoyed with positive remarks to a game that they have to jump into a post and start pushing their own favorite games?
N4G... gotta love it.
Disagree with you for the sake of you complaining about people disagreeing with you.
But on point I don 't agree with your opinion and thus would have disagreed anyways. You loose either way.
Correct Eamon.
The main goal in the Souls series heavily leans on the fighting/combat in the game, with RPG elements added in.
It doesn't feel as RPGish as the leveling in other RPG games. It feels closer to a Gods of War when you are hacking and slashing your way to the end of the game.
The story is not as much the detail in Souls series as is the fighting/combat.
