"Why are some surprised by this when Sony has been selling off its console at lower price?"
Coming from the person that beat the "13 countries" horse until the flesh fell off of its bones. Remember telling me this in a PM?
"Anyway i am done. Its pointless debating it. We will see if Microsoft can close the gap and we will be around both of us to see if that happens!"
Let's talk pricing.
What's worse are those people who make snap judgments about a person based off of a misleading article headline.
I did all of my Black Friday shopping online. But 4 of the 6 games I either bought for myself or someone bought for me were physical. Of the two that weren't, I bought the Wolfenstein standalone digital because PSN had the best discount, and the other title, Yu-Gi-Oh, is digital only. All the games I bought for others were physical. Shopping digitally doesn't mean you're buying digital products.
I've had PS+ from inception. They've even had freebies and discounts from inception. But it was nothing like we know it now. That happened after the hack. Trust me, I wouldn't even indirectly give credit to the hackers like I am if it wasn't true. I was pretty upset at the time.
As extra content? I'd be down with that, so long as the quality of the other titles didn't suffer for budgetary reasons.
No. Just no. Newer titles have better appeal. If you want those old games, get them off PSN or find them for a bargain online or at one of the few remaining good brick and mortar game stores.
You would have to thank the hackers for forcing Sony to repair the PSN's image.
Edit: Do not thank the hackers.
"how did the sales of tomb raider all of the sudden turn into the ps4 only has niche games and a pissing contest between playstation games and xbox games?"
All of a sudden? Cupid broke it down for you pretty good, but let me go even further. We're talking the same game that "all of a sudden" cut off the majority of its fanbase so that MS could get into a pissing contest with Uncharted in the action adventure genre.
After all that, an...
The price will drop over a year, meaning they'll need more buyers later to make what they could have with fewer buyers early.
"isn't that after all why we are here, because we enjoy games?"
Funny. I assume people commenting on a sales article are HERE because they enjoy talking about sales.
"Seriously, do you think anyone could believe that consoles are dying with these numbers?"
If this was a sitcom, Michael Pachter would walk through the door.
"it’s not a feature that gets used that much. Our focus is on the new games."
1) Not seeing how this disagrees that it's not used that much. Some features are nice to have, but not used much.
2) Not sure how you derived that their focus is no longer on new games. Sony didn't even advertise these initial titles as the first wave in BC.
"Some comments seem a bit hypocritical too, at least in comparison to their stances...
@gangsta_red
That's my concern. I don't put much stock in scores, but unless the reviews are flat out lying about content, that is a concern for me.
Looking like I'll probably have to. I'm bummed.
You realize there's a difference between not releasing exclusives during the holiday and not having any, right? In fact, now's the time to grab a bunch at holiday discount prices.
@muzikjunkie80
"the xbox one has had games all year round as i recall or do you guys count multi plats as not being games?"
You completely missed the point.
cfc83: Sony have no exclusives this holiday, so they focus on promo rights. At least team xbox are making things happen for the console.
kraenk12: Finally after a year of draught.
But you ignore the OP to jump at the chance to blame the PS fans...
Because for sake of argument we're not allowed to play those games during the holiday season, even if they can be picked up on good discounts. Or something.
Maybe they'll kick start it to gauge interest. I wish Konami had done that for a Z.O.E 3.
I have to applaud the audacity of some of these trolls. It's like we're all just supposed to ignore why Xbox had to do so many 180s and Phil is now in charge.
