Everyone worth considering knows that comment meant that PS is where Kojima blew up. Such petty nitpicking. Are your feelings that hurt?
Uh... You do know this isn't a title in the Metal Gear series going exclusive, right?
"That's the wrong attitude, obviously that won't work for everyone and it always sucks when a multi platform game goes exclusive."
I agree with the first part, but where did you get that this is a multi-plat going exclusive? We don't even know the title or genre of this game, and Kojima was still employed by Konami until a day or so ago. Seems like a big assumption to say this game was a multi-plat.
"Hey the Tomb Raider deal was kind of similar don't you think?"
Nope. One is a game people were placing pre-orders on for PS, and the other is a title you can't even tell me its name or genre.
@lodossrage
They've been trying to make the comparison since the TR fiasco. Got to have that false equivalency. They tried with SFV too, though that deal had way more in common with the one Xbox cut with the same company for Dead Rising 3.
Their exclusive deal couldn't even get Tomb Raider over, a AAA sequel in an established franchise with a big publisher behind it.
Some of you crack me up with your projection and entitled attitudes.
@donthate (See my point about projection above)
Japanese developer cuts deal with a Japanese company, and this is reason to imply the Japanese are prejudiced? You lack the self awareness to realize your ridiculous reaction exposes your own spoiled, entitled expectations of supremacy. You don't bat an eye at Japanese doing business with Americans, but let Japanese do business with Japane...
@UserNameIsNotTaken
Exactly. Software_Lover could have easily framed that comment the other way. What about those who hyped up those console exclusives to be game changers? It would be easy to make a post calling out their hypocrisy for being silent, or downplaying this, now.
People cling to this perception that N4G has an unfair Sony bias, that most of those one bubble trolls were just the victims of "Sony ponies" hating on them for not praising P...
@Genova84
"I'm talking about semantics."
Yes, you are, and I appreciate it, having studied semantics. But logically you know these advertisements aren't in the business of listing where you can't play the title. They're going to tell you the only places you can play it.
@LaChance
Someone is in their feelings. PS4 gamers can wait on TR because there's a similar title we prefer more to occupy our time. Did people think the TR fan-base would run out and buy an Xbox if MS held the title hostage? Oh, they did, didn't they? No wonder so many are pouting.
ZoE 2nd Runner was one of my favorite mech games of the PS2 era, alongside Gundam: Federation vs Zeon. Would love to see what Kojima can do for the genre with today's tech.
Because Minecraft was already selling ridiculous and they see it as having value for the parent company, not just the gaming division. Completely different situation. Despite what some think, the gaming division of MS has to work within a budget. They don't have a blank check to make 1st party games, cut 3rd party deals, do multiple price drops, bundle deals, swallow the development costs of the abandoned Kinect, and "throw around" whatever amount at Kojima. We love his games in...
You seem mad. People have been looking forward to TLG since last gen, and now the tech is there for them to realize their vision with PS4. Wouldn't that make fans excited? And what's the other game you're talking about?
Ugh, that is not a visually appealing game. Article says it plays good though. I'll scoop it up, probably day one.
Nope. Doubt I'll see any NFL players teabagging each other today. It's the distance and anonymity provided by the internet that brings it out of people.
@RustedMan
It's called don't bite the hand that feeds you. Sony fans have every right to make this a very loud lesson learned.
P.S. Don't know why you're raging at Xbox owners. MS wasn't targeting them with this game. They were hoping their vague exclusivity language would fool TR fans into buying an Xbox.
"I own both consoles and greatly prefer what MS is offering me with XB1 vs. Sony and the PS4."
Love how people always spouting that anti-PS nonsense can't help but go out and buy a PS this gen. That's how you know where it's at.
The bargain prices educated consumers purchase at are subsidized by the purchases of people who think an asking price is justified if it has the word "sale" attached.
@ninsigma
That's my question. If the previous price was a sell price, sorry but that's all about being an informed consumer. Should have grabbed it on sale. You can't get mad that they didn't stack the previous sale on top of the buy one get one free. Would there be complaints if the prices had just gone back up and stayed there instead of running into another sale?
I guess they are.
