This game could have been a real diappointment, but its shaping up to be a solid entry to the Halo universe.
I really liked the controls, and the way you build a base. Its much more straightforward, and plays more to console player's taste rather than a PC gamer. Not that a PC RTS fan couldnt play and really enjoy this game, but if youre looking for AoE in a Halo skin look elsewhere.
Ensemble and MS arent dumb, and they know that really hardcore RTS fans arent gonn...
I dont speak troll, but hopefully I can convey this to you in a language you can understand.
Your opinion is worthless.
Why is "oops" commonly typoed as "opps"? I do that sometimes myself, and its sweet irony...
It really is funny to see so many fanboys cry a river over a little CNET feature.
This article is automatic fail however...
"Xbox 360 - Gears of War and Halo. PS3 - Metal Gear Solid 4 and LittleBigPlanet. Woah, hang on a moment, why those two games? Why not Killzone 2 or God of War 3? Or Heavy Rain and Uncharted 2? Talk about picking your games to suit your own needs, which in this case is clearly an Xbox 360 win. I concede the backwards compatibility point thou...

"...Playstation 3 fanboys shouldn't get all flush over the idea that the Xenon will struggle on non-graphics code. However bad off Xenon will be in that department, the PS3's Cell will probably be worse. The Cell has only one PPE to the Xenon's three, which means that developers will have to cram all their game control, AI, and p...
As a gamer, I treasure my single-player. Dude is crazy. I think this is something all of us can agree on for once.
EDIT: And I do respect Dave Perry, and MP is definitely on the rise, but nothing can replace a good SP experience
A milli. While the 360 has been no runaway success in Japan, theyre doing considerably well compared to the original Xbox. And if you think about how well the DS, Wii and PSP do there it makes it seem all the more interesting.
I think they will hit at least 2 million in Japan. But I also think that with future price cuts, game releases, and even a new slim 360 model could capture even more than that.
The PS3 hasnt done that great there so far, but with future pric...
Are they talking about all games? Because if MGS4 is apparently 30GB or 50GB (i honestly dont know the exact figure) and K2 is at least 25GB, than that would be crazy.
Unless...the games are only that big because they are on Blu-Ray and have to be that big, with redundancy everywhere and duplicated files to speed up slow disc read speeds....am I on to something? hmmm....lol
I think you are the one in need of reason. The PS3 has MANDATORY installs, which are required to make the game work at all. It has nothing to do with it running smoother, which they dont. If the installs were optional, maybe, but they arent.
What I said about Crysis was merely to prove a point; a more technically demanding game fits on only one DVD. 12GB for the install sure, but as you so deftly pointed out, PC and consoles are different animals, each with different compress...
What convinces you that the 360 couldnt do Killzone? Im very curious to know.
And BTW, I dont think that Killzone 2 is the best looking console game ever. Not as sharp, vibrant or big as Gears 2. Gears also has better character models.
And "the best graphics ever" stuff is overdone. Who's to say that NBA 2K9 doesnt have the best graphics ever? A game that almost looks like the real thing? Or Fight Night 3?
The 360 would have no problem with K2. There is no ridiculous polygon count the 360 couldnt match. And with a better GPU, it wouldnt be too difficult.
The space issue is moot; the PS3 requires more space for games than the 360 does, EVEN WITH THE SAME GAME. Some games on PS3 require a 5GB install...while if you installed that same game to the 360, the entire game might be only 6GB. GTA 4 is about 6GB, FYI.
And Crysis anyone? Last time I checked, that game came o...
Come on fellas...at least we can all agree that Dane Cook is a douche...ahahaha
I keed...but he can be funny here and there. But he is a douche.
We dont know what will happen, but I would bet that MS come out on top with an even bigger margin than last year.
Why? This is my theory...the PS3 only outsold the 360 last year at times, and even then it wasnt by very much at all. But how did it do that? Easy. Blu-Ray---BR was considered the victor early last year, and with the PS3 being the best value for a BR player, sales went up.
That would also explain the PS3's drop towards the end of the year once BR play...
Im curious to see how they look.
With that youre implying that their whole comparo is wrong, and I fail to see that.
Overall value means just that...obviously they didnt think the 1-point advantage on features gave it the edge as far as value is concerned. Makes perfect sense to me.
Advert yet on TV that I have seen. They should have been teasing it at least a couple of weeks ago.
I know the Superbowl is expensive, but how about the NBA All-Star weekend at least.
CNET always does Prizefight comparos...Mac OS X vs Vista, iPod vs Zune, etc.
They would be doing their readers a disservice if they didnt do the same with consoles.
@ Zeus
I have no idea what those links prove.
I find it funny that the second a publication isnt bending over backwards for Sony, they are bought by MS. None of this is proven mind you, nor does it make any sense.
So now Cnet, which includes Gamespot, Metacritic is Microsoft too?
Seriously, what is it with you guys and the conspiracy theories? Isnt there more tangible things you could focus on?
And in case anyone is wondering...CNET is now part of CBS network, which is owned my Viacom. If you think that MS has the power to run Viacom, then youre crazy.
That nobody cares? I though UT3 on console seemed like a lame idea when the game was first announced on PS3, and the 360/PS3 sales of this game so far confirm my belief.
Dont get me wrong, UT3 is one of the best on PC; it is truly THE twich shooter, but its meant to be played with a mouse. Just my two cents...
