99% agree. But..... I do remember the same passion and expectancy for the Xbox one PRIOR to that reveal. Is it probable that Sony could drop the ball so hard when they properly reveal the PS5? Most likely not. But never say never.

I must agree on that. With past consoles launches the like of Activision and Ubisoft have all adopted this strategy with their tiles. So it's not like we don't know how that goes. Those titles all looked like higher res versions of the same last gen games.
Don't get me wrong though; I love that Xbox are doing it because it means I can feel safe to buy a PS5 in the knowledge that I can continue to play the latest Xbox Exclusives for my One X.

I'm still not 100% on which to get this winter but I'm leaning toward PS5. Power is important but tbh, even if Series was twice as powerful I don't want to put myself in a position where I miss out on those Sony exclusives. I went through the past year with just the One X and it really hurt not having things like Death stranding or FF7R. It was so bad that one of my mates took pity and actually bought me a ps4. Games are made for highest platform the, when nearly complete, ported downward to lesser systems. The highest spec project is affected. That's all myth.
In the article they ditch chromecast for pc and the stadia pad for an Xbox pad. Remove everything except Stadia from their router. And they discount playing at 4k for 1080p. All that just to get NEAR playable reduction in lag on their 300mb connection. Insane.

It was hardly a tangent. The guy was just giving his opinion. In a fair and balanced way too I might add. Never does he insult those who own the console and support it, he just bemoans the effect it's underpowered specs may have on developers and their creative vision.

I would be astounded if Microsoft don't have something big up their collective sleeves, softwarewise. Sony's dominance on first party is a problem Xbox have known about for some considerable time.

I loved the game but it did suffer from the obvious comparisons to the Last of us at the time. Personally, I love to see a PS5 sequel but I don't think that will happen unfortunately. Ditto - Ready at Dawn's The Order.
