People are losing all perspective with the new mandatory kinect and don't acknowledge the benefits it will bring.
Imagine a kinect that automatically changes porn clips when it detects your cocks not hard. Or, for that matter, shuts the video off entirely when/if it detcts your mum/sister/wife/girlfriend enter the boudoir.

Most likely it's the playstation app intergration On tablets, vita and mobile. I hear ps4 will focus on smartglass style features alot. Not a huge leap to imagine navigating rpgs like the witcher with a map displayed on your mobile device.
It needs these almost as much as it needs big games at the moment. Nintendo have underestimated how much people love trophies and achievements. Sony were big enough to admit not having them was a mistake and patched them in, so fair play to them.
Nintendo has a big opportunity to do something unique with them too. something mario related maybe? Gold coins for acheivements and a power star for getting them all? Or, even more unique, negative achievements for embarrassing fails . for ex...
And what do you expect?
The console business is under serious threat from the shitty ios and android platforms. The casual market, that the bloody wii created, dangled a huge golden carrot above both Sony and Microsofts heads. Hence the Kinect, hence the move, both of then tech that true gamers didn't ask for and don't want. Did they care? No; Wii showed them a massive new revenue stream and they chased it like virgins on an 18-30.
Trouble is, ios and Android come along and swipe their casual fanbas...
