How would Microsoft benefit from people being charged by the amount of bandwidth they use? If anything it would hurt them as people would be LESS likely to download movies, tv shows and other large file size content.

...they have one large hurdle to overcome - malware, viruses and hackers using your bandwidth. Are they going to charge you for something that they don't have the ability to prevent? It would be like a credit card company saying that you're responsible for the charges if someone steals your account number. They would constantly be open to large class action lawsuits.

CeruleanSky, the only thing more idiotic than your first post was your second one. Nuff said.

I assume you're being sarcastic. That's all they do is recycle. I mean, has Tiger Woods changed at all??? A few different poorly rendered courses and the same horrible looking characters and game play. I normally wouldn't be so hard on a company but they make a ton of money and continue to put out poor, uninspired products. When is the last time an EA game was exciting?

Something that requires Olivia Munn, Kristen Holt, Anna David and Morgan Webb to wear bikinis and give each other massages would be a nice addition :)

Who is doing the cheats on Xplay now? Is it Kristen Holt or Adam and Morgan? They better not get rid of her. I likes me some Kristen :)

Snoop_dizzle - every time I read one of your comments I can't help but hear it as if Sean Connery were reading it. I'm waiting for you to yell at Trebeck! hahaha

Morons! How are you disagreeing with this man changing his mind???

But you make a great point. PPV has been around for ages and HD PPV has been around for quite awhile. Is that stopping us from buying DVD/HD DVD/Blu Ray? No, not at all. And people have to stop comparing the death of CD's to DVD. It's not the same. People forget that a large part of the appeal of mp3's is the ability to make playlists and rip and share music. No one needs or wants to make a movie playlist.

...and every single update will be a joke until they include MMS. How can you sell a phone for $400-600 (depending on when you bought it) and say you can't send or receive picture messages??? I bought mine a week after it's release thinking surely they will add this most simple of applications but no. Instead they give us useless new features. Oh yay, I can rearrange the icons on the home page now and google maps will tell me where I am! But I still can't get a picture message that a gu...

Sounds like you're not sure either. I don't know...they don't look like screens to me. Why would they zoom in and cut off the parts that would show it's a screen? Does the magazine article say they are screen shots? I don't have the magazine so I don't know, but everyone has jumped on these as screens and they just don't look like it. In fact, I hope they're not screens as it looks too Gears of War-like and I didn't like the look of that game at all. RFOM 1 looked great so I hope they d...

Am I missing something? The scans from the magazine look more like artistic renderings versus screen shots (no status/weapons indicators, etc.) Are there screen shots somewhere else or is everyone calling those magazine scans "screens"?

This is hardly news. HD DVD is dying, why keep stating it? But it will be a slow death and if someone wants to take advantage of a fire sale then more power to them! You see, when you're not a fanboy you can actually get good deals. If someone buys a 360 HD DVD drive for $99 with 6 free movies that they get to enjoy plus they're able to watch HD DVD exclusives NOW rather than wait for Blu Ray to adopt them, then they made a good decision. Would waiting for those same movies to come out o...

Excellent analogy. And maybe if they didn't charge $60.00 for a new game people wouldn't feel compelled to buy used ones.

I can't believe how many people are arguing now because of this story. I took 2 things away from it: 1) "Cool, less lag on my TV and DVR in the future" and, 2) Sony and Toshiba don't care about all this "who's better than who" crap nearly as much as half the people coming here do - and they're the ones actually competing against each other!

What are you morons going to do when you grow up and get a real job and the company you work for asks you to do some j...
