Breakfast is the most important meal of the day! Finally, some reasonable people on here. I am glad to see Sony doing this though. Yes, it's a long time coming but at least they're doing it. From the screen shots is does look much nicer and I'm really happy that the circle button will work as a "back" button and not ask you if you want to leave the damn store every time you hit it.
Nice fanboy post hagaf22. Can you please go to the open section?
You must not have read the article about the Blu Ray load times.
But weren't not talking about a PC - we're talking about consoles. My NES didn't require 20 minute load times so I wouldn't expect my PS3 too either.
@15.1
I had the exact same thought when I read that. All that talk about the increased size for huge games and maps doesn't pan out if they have to put the same data in multiple places.
(What is funny are that people will disagree with this even though it's a completely valid point.)
So you already knew everything in that article? Hmm.
I'm gonna have to guess by your picture you're a little biased. I found the article very informative and the title tells you exactly what's in the article. Had the read speed issue been brought up a year ago Blu Ray might not have seemed like the better choice over HD DVD. Most console players want to pop in their game in play it so yes, mandatory or even "recommended" installs do suck out some of the fun quotient. "Hey guys, I just got GT5 Prologue! Let's race! Well, hol...
How is the ending in legendary different? I didn't play it on legendary so I'm curious.
It was definitely ugly but I think he is just saying he like that it was larger.
@12.1
I think the assumption that they wanted to keep it as much like the PS2 controller would be a correct one. It was what the "fans" demanded as at the time there was still rampant chatter about how the PS2 controller was better than the then recently released HUGE Xbox controller. So, you get what you ask for. Myself, I like a little meatier controller and truth be told, I think most of the Sony people did too but felt it would be giving points to MS. Regardless, I will...
I don't know what world you live in but in mine the vast majority of corporations only care about profit. And I'm not even talking about profit for the good of the corporation but profit for the personal financial gain of the executives and board members - often at the expense of the customers, stockholders and employees. Let me know when you find this, altruistic do-right company you speak of and I will be the first to apply for a job with them. Until then, I can only hope to make a small ...
For all the tirades about the evilness of Microsoft at least Microsoft doesn't hold back on standard features so they can charge you for it later. Case in point - the iPhone. Still, to this day, you cannot send or receive a pix message on the iPhone. That's right, the most advanced cell phone (says Apple) doesn't allow it. Many people like myself figured one of the updates would address this but none of them have. I mean, this is standard feature for even the cheapest of cell phones and...
I disagree. If Bungie and/or Microsoft didn't want to do another Halo then why make the ending to Halo 3 so open ended? I also think those calling for a prequal are off. You can't go to a prequal until AFTER the first story is finished. Look at Star Wars. ROTJ was a clear ending to the story. Halo 3 left a clear opening for more...that is if you watched the full credits.
I for one, want to know what happens next and hope Bungie will be on board.
If "you're" going to call people dumb, you should probably make sure the word you type right before dumb is spelled correctly.
Glad you can admit it can use some improvement...I wish some of the others here could. However, the wait for HOME is starting to get rediculous. I WAS willing to wait but my patience has a limit and it's just about been reached.
There are pluses and minuses to each console...I know because I've owned them all for quite some time. But why is it that there seem to be so many Sony fanboys? Even this "gamer" forum is overrun with them. Why can't you just admit PSN sucks on so many levels compared to Live? Just like most (but not all) 360 owners can admit what is not so good about their system (fan noise, no Blu Ray.) Why would Sony improve PSN when it's got ardent supporters of a piss poor product (just ta...
Agree...this used to happen to me on Resistance a lot when it first came out which would result in me point my weapon in the air and spinning around while I got jacked up lol. It hasn't happened in the last month or so though. Even worse was on the 360 when I would play Bioshock and would regenrate my charachter would unload a precious clip of ammo while waiting for the vitachamber doors to open - essentially ensuring a quick death when I got out. Still one of the best games ever though... ...
You make love to your PS3 at night don't you. I mean, I play games on mine and sometimes watch a movie but I really think you make sweet, sweet love to yours. Well, to each his own. I guess there is more than one way to keep the dust off it.
(Note: the irony is you use the term "microslaves" when it's clear you are a slave to Sony.)
Maybe it's new software that installs your game or demo while it's downloading!!! Imagine that! Seriously Sony, get your heads out of your butt. You've got some kicka$$ hardware and some good games, now just admit you suck at operating software and get some help. It's getting embarrassing seeing how long minor additions take to get on the console. An in-game XMB takes years to develop? And don't even get me started on HOME (which honestly, not many people were even asking for in the fir...
Two problems here: 1) regardless of whether or not you think the "blog" is true, it is not a news article and shouldn't be posted here and, 2) I'm really starting to question all the people claiming to be on their 3rd or 4th 360. That would have to mean that myself and my friends, who all got our 360's shortly after launch, have been tremendously lucky b/c we've never had a problem while the people having 3 & 4 repairs have been tremendously unlucky. Or did Cincinnati, OH ju...
