So does that mean the regular PS4 is for ignorant, casual gamers? I think he could have worded it better.
Yeah...that's what pushed the PS3 over the top. when the price was lowered it wasn't only a game system it was one of the cheapest blu ray players as well.
Why is this article up? Not one person outside of the MS heads know what the Scorpio price point will be!
Fair enough...was just curious. Not dissing the console at all...It will be a good one.
If games such as COD and Battlefield run and look better on the Scorpio many gamers will follow. There isn't as much true loyalty with gamers as there was back in the day. The majority just want the best experience even if it is slight.
the pro is over twice the power of the PS4...more than an upgrade.
Is anyone really excited for the PS4pro?...I mean, it is a very good console and will sell, but is anyone flipping out until they get one?
For one, it depends on the Game. Also, the final specs of the Scorpio are not known as of yet. For all we know they may boost it over what is expected and rumored. Won't know what it is capable of until official.
No price has been given. It most likely will be more expensive but for what is being proposed it will be well worth the price. Anyone wanting the best console COD or Battlefield experience will pay that extra $100 in a heart beat... MS could also match the price of the pro and take a loss on each system as they did with the 360 just to gain ground fast. You never know and everything right now is guess work.
Obscure...Remember 90% of those on this site are 14 year old fanboy trolls. Their mommy and daddy bought them one system and they will defend it with their lives.
I don't look at that as a "problem"...you are literally, desperately grasping at straws....l...o...l
What? Yeah, like you weren't "all lovey dovey" when the pro specs were first rumored. Get off your high horse, kid!
you are missing one key element. Most third party companies usually favor the system with more power to showcase their games... As what happened with COD on the 360 then COD on the PS4. Many gamers are not loyal. They will go where the best experience is for their favorite games. If that is COD or Battlefield many just might follow the Scorpio as their choice. Price advantage? Not just gamers, but consumers won't have too many issues purchasing a more powerful console if that price diffe...
It will sell alright. Won't change the world of gaming, but it should do fine. How it does once the Scorpio comes out is still up in the air obviously. I can't see it failing though.
Nowadays, it seems power can make the system. When popular third party games choose a side so to speak and bring out better versions of a game the masses tend to navigate toward that medium. COD and Battlefield are prime examples of that.
I am a console gamer and think the PSpro will be a good system. Not great, but good. I don't know one pc gamer that is "hugely impressed" by the PSpro. The specs on the Scorpio are barely passable to most hard core PC gamers.
I'm sure the long loading time after death will be addressed..everything else looks to be blown out of proportion...As it usually is on most gaming sites.
For one thing US sales make up the majority of overall sales both Sony and MS. X1s is also doing very well in other countries. Seriously, kid, you need to just deal with the fact the X1s "is" crushing it in sales and your masters at Sony have to take a back seat in sales until the Pro is launched. By the way, X1s is still going to sell amazingly well globally due to the fact it has a 4k blue-ray at one of the cheapest prices around...and is also a gaming/entertainment console. Just...
Most people who are gong to buy the Scorpio are doing so for the 4K bluray. It is worth the price of the console just for that. MS fell behind with a poor launch and a semi weak system in regard to the X1. The Scorpio fixes a lot of that and MS pretty much knocked it out of the park with the rumored specs. IF the Scorpio brings out the better versions of CoD and Battlefield it will sell better than the other consoles on the market for three or four years, easy.
Seems when the larger third party studios move to the Scorpio to show off their flagship games, those "pros" will be left in the dust.
