MS selling more consoles is desperate? So, when PS4 was given away for free at Taco Bell, Sony was desperate? I don't think either were/are desperate. Just business and how to get the product out there and in the eyes of casual consumers.
Oh boy, I wonder just how many Sony fanboy trolls will play the "MS is desperate" card because of a Christmas sale that will undoubtedly sell many systems... At least they are playing something. Obviously not enough on their Ps4's right now. Oh well.

It's called advertising and trying to gain market share, every single company that has ever tried to sell a product through advertising has made their product out to be the best thing since sliced bread. As a consumer it is your responsibility to make up your own mind on any given product. Hype and "fudging" will always be there.
The pro is a good console that will be able to do "some" games at 4k/30 the Scorpio will most likely be able to do "most" games at 4k/30 with some at 4k/60... No reason they shouldn't market what they are capable of doing. Personally I would prefer 1080p/1440p full/locked 60fps (or more) with all the graphics turned on max over 4k with with less fps and some graphic settings turned down, but that is just me.
Maybe you should educate yourself on what "false advertising is" If X1s upscales to 4k technically it plays in 4k...there is zero false advertising here. Time to grow up a little, kid! How on earth is anyone going to win a lawsuit with this?!!? You know what, put your money where your mouth is and you do the suing, otherwise shut the hell up!

In theory I agree with you but when has console gaming ever been about researching anything but the games you like to play?
That sucks...don't own one but the console still is a good price for what you get but this needs to be properly addressed and fixed.
