More powerful yes, but still goes to show that they are using relatively older and now cheaper processors. Not a bad thing, but the PS4pro launches as an average game system spec wise when compared to higher end pc's. Not that console gamers could care less about the pc master wasters. Just makes me wonder what the Scorpio might be able to do if it is launches at a $500 price point.
That's like saying the PS1 is more powerful than the Sega CD. No kidding... Why even bother comparing three year old consoles to a brand new one, power wise. Wait till the Scorpio and Switch are actually out to do power comparisons for this new gen/half gen.

Ok, a six year old game can be re-mastered on 4K on a new console?...Neat... I wan' to see new, high end, AAA games be able to do the same consistently. Not saying the PS4 pro is not powerful. It is. I just won't get too excited over a half decade old game being able to handle 4k on the console.

The Scorpio will be out next year..not necessarily in exactly one year...It might launch right after the next E3 for all anyone knows.

Don't forget MS as well as Sony does not purchase parts at the same cost as retail consumers. They purchase in large volume.The price per part is significantly less than if you or I purchased separately at what ever retail store.
True, but I wonder how well it wold have done say it had 12 gig of ram, where it wouldn't have had frame rate and resolutions issues early on... The $499 price point didn't help but I think the resolution issues are what really held up sales in the begging.

Bought my Neo-Geo a year after is came out, after the first price drop...I was working at a game store and with my employee discount it came out to only slightly ridiculous...Was allowed to bring home open/used Neo Geo games whenever I wanted... That helped. Still don't regret getting the system. Still have it! Was a freaking beast in its day!
"IF" MS is willing to sell at cost or a slight loss than maybe it comes in at or very close to $399. That of course would be great and they would sell insanely fast.. Personally, if the console comes out with the same specs or better than what has been rumored I think gamers will be more than happy to pay $449 to $499 for it. Over $499 for even a super powerful console may be more than most will be willing to pay imo. We will see soon enough. If Ms was smart they will release full...
How fast is the ram?... Normally I would be disappointed if this is true, but since I look at this as a hand held I have to say so far so good....for a hand held. If the news comes out that there is more ram that of course would be welcome news. As it stands it is shaping up to be a very powerful portable gaming system.
I enjoyed the first titanfall for the X1, but although the reviews are good it looks to be more of the same...I'll get it, but when it drops in price...Maybe black Friday or after Christmas.
So, buy a $1200 gaming rig instead of just paying $60 for the game if you already have a PS4/X1?
