Y'know, as good as they both were the Genesis to this day is still the best 16bit console ever!
Ugh...the fanboys are out in force..Seriously, not everyone is going to like a game no matter how much it is hyped or how much some are looking forward to it. So far this game is getting mostly good reviews. No reason to throw tantrums and troll articles of the ones that don't. So, some people thought it was average. Big deal. Life goes on.
Ruined? ruined what, a "meta" score? Is that what you want or an overall accurate depiction of what to expect from the game? Why is it that when someone doesn't like the same thing you do (even though you haven't played it yet) they are "Trolls". Seems to me from the review the person wanted to like it more but didn't for reasons explained.
Maybe not the greatest home console ever power-wise, but definitely an amazing hand held!
Its a remake, not a re-master...why would you expect it to be more when there was never any intention of it being a re-master?
So, it's a re-release and not a re-master..OK. Not sure why lower resolution games are fine and dandy on the PS systems but not on the X1 systems. A bit of a double standard.
The average age of a PS owner must be about 14...The comments on this site pretty much prove that. Oh well. Regardless, the Scorpio will be an amazing console. No doubt about it. A lot hinges on the price-point. If it comes in at $499 or less expect it to be a success right off the bat. "IF" MS shows some new potentially heavy hitting IP's, and also bring back some older, once popular IP's the sky is the limit. Even more will hinge on this years E3 for MS than the past few.....
What's the reason? If the Scorpio comes in at $500 or less the price-point for what you get will be hard to beat. Also many gamers do not want to build a rig. If you do, great. Doesn't mean everyone else does..At least now you can purchase MS games.

First off what is wrong with 1080p/60 plus fps or 1440p/60fps? I would rather have amazing effects, lighting and animation over the highest possible resolution. 4K, that's nice too, but not a huge difference in visual fidelity when comparing it with 1440p. I admittedly don't have a PSpro yet, but for the price you get a lot of bang for the buck...Complainers need to grow up a bit.
I agree 100% and you are getting many thumbs up but where was that sentiment when the issue was with the X1 and "sub par" resolution.
Why even call these "upgrades"?...Used to be a new console would be launched every five years... The 360/PS3 gen was unusually long but all others before them were much shorter. Seems things are just going back to how it used to be.

@ filchron...gamers in the 80's were more concerned about the games and not as focused on the specs of the console/computer...If you were a gamer you would know this..but you obviously are not, so....whatever.

Doesn't need to be any "exclusives"... Pretty much every game made today and for the next few years will be able to be played on X1 and standard Ps4 with the settings on low compared to the Scorpio or PSpro versions.
Let me guess, next week we will get an article about why PS4 wins and the week after that why Nintendo Switch wins and the week after that why the Atari 400 wins...... Yawn.
