That is true, the Xbox brand with the Scorpio will most likely capture the market for those mostly interested in cross plats, but the more high quality exclusives that are offered the more variety there is for consumers to choose from. Xbox brand hands down has the better console exclusive shooters with Halo and Gears

Most console gamers do not play on a pc...some, sure, but most don't and will not. You are assuming every gamer is a hard core gamer that has to have the best specs at all times... that is a small percentage of gamers. I can only hope Sega comes back and tries to re-claim it's glory days!...That will require smart game design of old classics that update everything so new gamers play it but also don't alienate the older gamers that made Sega the success it was in the 80's to late 90's.

With software updates and unlocking the unused 10% of the gpu the Kinetic was supposed to have the difference in overall power is closer to 25% with the X1S being slightly more powerful than the regular X1 the difference in power between it and the PS4 is roughly 20%. The Pro is a very good system, but lets face facts it will be moderately to significantly under powered compared to the Scorpio when that is released about nine months from now. The X1 is a very good system but even the "S" is still a bit under powered compared to the PS4. We have had tons of gamers and even some developers lash out at MS for that, with none having to apologize.... Seems this is a bit of a double standard. Whatever, must be a slow gaming news day.
The Scorpio will be competitive but certainly more...by at least $100 US.
If all the games on the Scorpio are also made for the X1 (with lower secs) I don't think that will be a kick in the face to anyone even if it is considered "next gen".
