A lot of people are saying this game is too "advanced" to run on the Switch, but "if" it is released running at 1080p on the original X1 then I wouldn't see it having much trouble running at 720p on the Switch.Of course there might be some other gpu demanding downgrades but some of those would not make a huge visual difference. I can see it happening and I can see it being better than most think.
This might be the case for lower end devs, but those with higher end games will fully utilize what's available to them. If that wasn't the case all the third party games that came out on X1 at 720p or 900p would have ran the same on PS4 and PC...that wasn't the case and there will be a huge difference that goes further than just resolution on the Scorpio over the X1.

MS is going to in fact release the console at $499 but will let it be known there will be 12 gig of dedicated ram with additional 3 gig of ram included for the OS A total of 15 gig of ram. The "Scorpio" will also come with a more customized GPU than originally speculated on as well as a slighter faster CPU. 6.8 Tflops will be confirmed, not 6.0.
It would be nice to get some concrete info as early as next week.
YOu have no idea what was going on with the game. If things were "just slow" I doubt it would have been canceled. There were obvious some big issues. To say other developers in Japan may not work with MS now "because" of one game being cancelled is flat out ignorant. Sony cancel games to you know. Has nothing to do with any potential future deals with any studio.
Probably for now, but I would give it two years before MS takes the leash off and allow devs to make Scorpio only games. By then the X1 will be over six years old...Again, just a guess
"IF" MS sells at cost or a slight loss it "might"...longshot it is $399 though. Probably $499 which would still pretty amazing for what's under the hood!
Scorpio might have exclusives..sort of...If once PC only games start crossing over to the Scorpio they may not be restricted by MS to make sure the games work on X1 as well...Just a shot in the dark guess.

The "best ever"??? I think this reviewer needs to go back to the 16 bit and 32 bit consoles and play some JRPG's... Will probably change his mind on that "best ever" comment.... Best this gen? That's would still be debatable but far more realistic.
We hear this every gen. To keep a system cost effective for average consumers there is only so much that can be done. Of course when the PS5 eventually comes out it will be exceptional but I doubt it will be "photo real" in enough aspects that make it movie quality visuals. Down the line, probably, but even in three or four years time the cost of a home console to do that just won't happen. Maybe the PS6 or 7 gen.
