Not quite do or die... X1 closing in on 34 million units sold...Not as much as the PS4 of course but not bad numbers in the least. If anything MS needs to push the brand in Asia... That is the only way to truly compete with Sony.
Thoroughly enjoy my X1 and tons of games on it...even the ones that display 720p... Anyone who thinks resolution makes or breaks a game really isn't much of a true gamer..... If it can't do 4k/60 have it do 1440p/60 or 1080p/60... It will still look amazing!

Pretty much the same..just shows when something is riding high it is talked up and shown off all the time...when it isn't it stays in the shadows as much as possible..In defense of MS, the past two years it has done great...that first year and a half after the horrid E3 launch really did the damage.

The potential for vast improvements are there...they just aren't utilizing them yet.
The PS4 pro is significantly more powerful than the regular PS4...If what you are saying was the case Sony could have easily brought out a tweaked version as MS did with e X1S for a much lower price to consumers that would have delivered simple tweaks for the console that the Pro is getting for the most part. I think Sony overestimated the drive devs would have to enhance older and newer games. They need to be a bit more "persuasive"..Of course that is just an opinion. The Pro altho...
I still think the PS4 pro has a lot of potential especially for the price offered... Would be nice to see it live up to its full potential though.
