I love my ps3, 360, wii, ds, psp, ps2, iphone and gaming pc all like children
but just like all parents do, (they just would never tell you) we all have our favorites
if i could only choose one platform it would hands down be pc
heck i can play all my ds, wii, ps2 and ps1 games ON MY PC up to 1080p! ( wii and ps2 in 1080p with 8x aa at 60 frames)
so its really like 10 consoles in one with all the epic pc games not pos...
on console it tears, i think buljo is talking pc, it looks perfect on pc
but yeah, i played bf3 with my nephews on 360 and it tears, and pops in and has lots of jaggies, still fun, but it is distracting.
2560x1600 is fine for me, a 30" looks amazing at that res, going down to 1080p is a significant drop in quality and clarity.....can't wait till 4k is cheap....its gonna be a while

thats it for me for dev i would consider GREAT and buy their games nearly blindly the day they release
every other dev out there is second string to me, not a bad thing, just not the amzing top tier, and i will read and watch closley before making a purchase from other devs/

notch is a freaking HACK who got lucky, he made the game in 2 weeks and for some reason, (i don't see why) people were drawn to the game
to me it looks like legos for the blind or something
the graphics are offensive on every level imaginable, and the gameplay seems horribly boring, notch is so grossly overated it is appaling
if cd project is at the helm, its a day one sale for me
I day one buy games by devs like cd project, naughty dog, blizzard and bethesda (the pc versions always work great for me, i know poeple complain about bugs, never had a single game breaking bug in over 1000 hours combined in es3, es4, es5 and fallout)
without question pretty much, they have proven to me with quality gameplay and fast updates for any small issues that they deserve the full brunt of my money
...
we needed new consoles 2 years ago or last year at the latest. far cry 3, skyrim, saints row the 3rd, dark souls, ac3, resident evil 6 and so many others all performed terribly and ran well below 30 frames for much of the game, exhibited tons of screen tearing and were riddled with jaggies and sub-hd resolutions!
its beyond time for new consoles, they cannot come out soon enough
heck we needed new consoles for battlefield 3, playing with only 11 other peo...
you can get it in higher resolution and better performance than the ps3 or vita will be able to produce for free if you own the original disc (or buy it for $6-$10 on amazon or gamestop and download pcsx2 for free

lol....people getting mad it runs awful and looks terrible on 8 year old hardware, it ain't Bethesdas fault, blame ms and sony, there should have been new consoles out in 2010 or 2011 at the latest, skyrim was expected to ship to next gen platforms...todd howard even said this in an interview, but the game was done on pc and no sign of new consoles, so the rush ported them down to ps3/360, hence it running even worse on 360/ps3 than oblivion
it was NEVER intended for 8 ...
it needs to be $500 at least, or else it will be either ;
A. sold at an enourmous loss (sony CANNOT afford that)
B. absolute, bottom of the barrel parts and not worth calling next gen (i.e. wii u)
ps4 needs minimum 4 gb ram, 1gb vram (equal AT LEAST to a gtx 650....660 ti would be ohhh so much better, and a fast quad core i-7 920 spec at least)
anything less and your just getting a 5 year old pc without the capability...
been playing ffx (and every other ps2 game i own [over 50])in 1080p at 60 frames for years!
pcsx2, best emulator around
if you already own the disc, pop it in, better than ps3 or vita will ever dream of running it, and its free :)

this is NOT aimed at pc gamers, STEAM already has all of us, the 50 million that are already steam customers, i alone have bought over 200 games from them!
we build rigs that DESTROY this steam box, ps4 and xbox 720 all combined, i wouldnt ever buy some tiny pc that only does console resolutions and console settings

1080p in some games and some will use good ole 720p
and that is fine, if it is a pc quality, ultra high textures count, great anti aliasing, 60 frames per second 720p i am totally cool with that
this last gen with ps3/360 we had many, many games using far less than 720p, zero anti aliasing and bad framerates with super low res textures
BF3 on ps3 and 360 was 704p at the LOWEST POSSIBLE settings and still ran like crap once a lot stated ...
hopefully because a new xbox will be out in june, how cool would that be?
i am so beyond ready for new consoles, the one bad thing about owning a gaming pc is it makes all console games look last gen, it's time
