Preach!
Good size comparison, not much bigger than DS4 it seems
He didn't say only 100 games, he said we tried the top 100 games and most of them already work. With some software intervention, they would be able to make more work. So we can probably safely say that 90% of the PS4 library will work straight away, because the top 100 games are likely to be the most processor-intensive games.
With that said, don't really care that much about BC, but it's nice to have in the first year or 2 of a new console.
It's a good idea for a lot of people. I remember someone at work getting stuck in the weird garden section of TLOU with minimal health and he couldn't get past it no matter what he did. This was on the easiest mode.
Anyway, he gave up on the game after that, but pretty sure if he had the option to skip ahead by paying, he would.
The only issue is if they start designing games to be hard in order to make money this way, but if they can prevent that...
FF8 is actually my favourite, I know it has plot holes but the main thing is I had fun playing it and have replayed it several times fully.
Bluepoint makes sense,but not remedy
Great news imo, loved Insomniac games since Ratchet and Spiderman was proof they are still relevant.
Classic flamebait, because everyone knows it's not true
Probably not 3 feet or 20 feet, but somewhere in between and a survivable fall.
If you played FF8 first, you will have loved it, if you played FF7 first, you probably wouldn't have liked it at all. Simple as that it changed too much stuff for the FF7 fans.
Why would you pay for something you already have the ability to do? I used BC on my PS3 for SOTC and GOW2, but that was because I got rid of my PS2, I would have much rather kept the PS2 and paid less for the PS3. After I got my PS4, I kept my PS3 but not really had any need to play it.
It's nice to have the option but not a necessity. I think if it came down to a more expensive console with BC vs a cheaper console without, I'd go for the one without and hold on to my older console for slightly longer.
Wonder if Battlefield V will actually sell well
@UCForce - So you think Sony is getting complacent because they are the market leader at the moment? Understandable logic I suppose, but I don't agree, I think things will change, especially if we see them backtrack on the Fortnite block, which I can see happening.
"Microsoft "Won" E3. So whats the prize? "
Positive press.
I'd be interested to know also.
Are Halo and Gears again really going to shift consoles? I really don't understand Microsoft's obsession with releasing sequels in these two franchises constantly. Yes they sell quite a bit, but both have been going down hill for years now. Halo 3 was good, and Gears 1 was the best one, with 2 being ok. The ones after that have been steadily getting worse.
They need to focus on new IP as well as these.
To be fair to the owners of the site though, they won't have overall control of whats ads they are showing, but they can probably remove certain type of ads. The issue is that these ads that are annoying are also the best paying ads, and the site needs to cover costs somehow.
The only solution really is to offer premium membership on top that has no ads.
I think PS5 will be a switch-like console, but not sure how that would work with the super-high end games, because Nintendo has had to sacrifice graphics slightly for it to be playable on the handheld
Looks amazing, great job by the artist at playstationing!
You should have said yeah to the geek squad guy, it's his job to find a solution!
