I agree, I hope it does. But personally I see PS3 outselling the Wii for atleast 3 weeks (inlcuding this week). Cos of Yakuza 3, RE5, also when FFVII: ACC hits (with FF13) demo, I wouldn't be surprised if it outsold the Wii.
Just wondering, do Japan get the Special Edition FF7 PS3, when the movie is released on blu-ray?
@Narutone - Just fyi, Demon's Souls has apparently got English Voice acting in the Asian version of the game.
@randomwiz - Actually God of War 3 is more of a niche market, Killzone 2 has a much higher chance of bringing in new gamers. God of War 3 will bring in the fans of the series, which I'm pretty sure will already have PS3s.
On topic- Although this does show some desperation from MS, atleast they are trying to do something. I have a feeling though that they are incurring massive losses on this cut.
Guys this game is a LOT better that Gears 2, seriously you play KZ2 and you'll realise that it is amazing.
Mass Effect was a good game, but the only reason I can think of it getting RPG of 2007, is because nothuing else was out.
Personally I liked the story, but it was hardly an RPG, Fallout 3 was much better in RPG aspect. Also it was incredibly short, I finished in 25 hours and I did almost EVERY sidequest.
I honestly don't give a sh*t, just release the damn game already. Personally i have a feeling that this game is going to be announced multiplat, because it has been delayed too long, and on top of that Ubisoft's sales show that they make more money from PS3.
I hate when companies do this, they say it broke records whatever but never post the actual sales data.
Man up and post the damn numbers.
It does help to a certain extent, but you will always have a preference. I have a PS3 and 360, I prefer my PS3, but I still appreciate the 360, even though I have to treat it like it's on life support so it doesn't rrod
@kushan - I think he is talking about when you want to upragde HDD, it was hard to transfer data from HDD to the other.
20 Million is a pretty big milstone, especially considering only a month ago they said it was 17 million! But yeah multiple accounts are most likely the reason, I myself have 4 accounts Japanese, US, UK and Australian.
@1.3 - For RPGs being 360 exclusive is a very bad idea, especially JRPGs. WRPGs tend to do quite well, but JRPGs should be multi-platform all the time, if not PS3 or Wii exclusive, because it just doesn't make sense to make a JRPG for a console that has sold the least in Japan.
As far as I know, Insomniac and Naughty Dog are 2nd party devs, i.e. they aren't owned by Sony, but have thus far only worked on exclusive titles for Sony.
Cool it's like LingerInShadows, but for a trailer.
I want to see what happens when Yakuza 3 (and KZ2) hits next week, and then shortly after is the FF7 Advent Children bundle (with FF7 style PS3), and shortly after that Resident Evil 5 bundle.
Couldn't these guys have just waited until it reached 1million sales before posting this story?
@Arnon - I agree with most of what you said, but you are looking at things from a biased perspective. 3 games are not the only confirmed titles for 2009
What about...
Ratchet & Clank 2 (confirmed in Quest for Booty)
Yakuza 3
Final Fantasy 13 (may be delayed, but trailer said 2009)
White Knight Chronicles (possible for NA/EU)
Fat Princess (PSN, but it looks good)
Also Heavy Rain, MAG have got a 2009 provisional date a...
What??? Killzone sold 2.5 million??? And fanboys call it a failure??!?!
Xbox fanboys are retards.
Fake OR these guys are extreme dumbasses, if they hate MS so much, they shouldn;t have gone and bought 24 Xbox 360s, they just gave MS some more fuel for their NPD figures. Although I wonder if they can claim it back
Hopefully Shingo, but i doubt it. Can't wait till Killzone 2 hits.
Personally I can see Alan Wake, Team Ico game and the Zelda game coming out 2010. I'm pretty sure Heavy Rain will be out by 2009, but truth be told, Sony doesn't need it in 2009
I don't think I've ever seen so much fail in an article...
1 reason, price. That's it, nothing else matters. If the price goes down Sales go up. Simple.
