I was an early adopter of the first one, really hyped for it,
but man was I crushingly disappointed.
kept it for the longest time and followed all the changes that were made, and then again more changes, and more changes...
after a year-and-a-half of them changing it constantly, I just again lost interest.
I see and hear nothing but good things about the division 2,
but even if it gets really strong reviews/great word-of-mouth,
I jus...
I would say that's definitely a huge, stand out change in the industry.
even from when I started playing:
even amongst games with Triple-A huge budgets you've got ten times as many games out there, yet less really qualitative good ones, and even a lot of good ones have so much bloat/padding to them...
I felt that way too,
but you have to realize that music/ films/television are usually done in much shorter increments than gaming sessions.
and you can listen to music while doing something else, I think it's a hell of a lot easier to pause a film and not waste that much time with it, versus a game (depending on the game) you can sort of lose your rhythm of what you're doing...
Right there with you, brother.
56 years old.
I can barely watch more than an hour to an hour and a half of anything on TV, without falling asleep😴
the level of engagement just isn't there for me anymore, love gaming, though I've only been gaming about 16 years, but I do enjoy it so.
I had never experienced anything prior, where all forms of the artistic medium come together, to form such a variation of experiences ...
great stuff ...
As if we needed any further examples,
how greedy, underhanded, and devoid of any Integrity (or creativity) any of the developers, or Activision themselves are...
wow 🦇🤑😈
yeah, EA is one company I would love to see collapse, and have all of their IP's acquired by other publishers/ developers, without a doubt.
there are soooo many of them...
Last one was the best of the three👍 a ton of fun to play,
great customization, controlled well, looked really well, and it was obvious when they released it that they weren't going to release any more after that, because they pulled the budget basically let the studio know, the last year before it came out,
that was going to be it, and they weren't getting any more budget money, either... 😱
it's a shame, because they really did someth...
Mercenaries: playground of destruction! they were supposed to be a third installment, eons ago that never materialized, it was pretty much "just cause",which became the single player version of what that game was supposed to be, the third installment of mercenaries was supposed to be a 3 player co-op with all protagonist available in a huge destructive world...
if you actually take the time to research it, the amount of Studios that electronic arts has swallowed up, along...
well I got good news/bad news for you:
the IP was acquired by THQ Nordic (as has a lot of other IP) the problem being, that they've said not every IP that they acquire is going to wind up spawning a sequel or a game, and that they are going to gauge the market slowly to see what happens.
I would think that means we're not going to see anything soon.
the problem with kingdoms of Amalur is that although it was very highly lauded and highly praised,

How is it entitlement, to want to play through a demo at a reasonable Pace, to be able to discover /explore with the controls/settings and all the other aspects of a game, before I make a purchase?
I'm really enjoying the fact that it's viewed as some sort of "privilege" they're granting us, when they're trying to sell you a product.
they're not doing you any favors by selling you a product, no one is.
they stand to benefit th...
The timely release of substantial/ reasonable/content is their whole problem to begin with.
whenever they do something interesting (they had this problem with Destiny 1 as well) they have to arbitrarily lock huge chunks of the game behind these ridiculous hoops to jump through,
just like no matchmaking for raids, and things that are basic features every multiplayer game has.
it it's one of the most ridiculous things I've ever seen in a game, and they don&...
As much as I have a lot of adverse feelings about this game,
if they were to add something like that: I would purchase it.
I would love to get neck deep in this version of Battle Royale, and be able to go at it with bots just to flesh things out.
I think that would be fantastic, and an unprecedented, bold move that nobody's done.
I know tracer is, and I was pretty certain Zarya was as well,
so what's with this?
I mean if a character (or person for that matter) is, fine, but it just seems like some forced bull**** to bring attention to their game.
Honestly, it doesn't seem to have any context, just being done for the sake of it, which... just ...I don't know, it cheapens their game, and I don't think they see that.
Suddenly this character is gay.
give me a...
I'd be very surprised if a 3rd Destiny actually is made.
considering what they've spent on it all, the problems they've had, and now the negative backlash and amount of money the brand has lost !?
I think they had their chance,
and they blew it, which is a shame.
there was a lot that was great about it, that will be lost, but they would have to unveil a completely different direction and style for the game.
and of course that would enta...
hopefully, it'll be for the best, for everyone.
single players getting what they like,
As far as an experience, and those that want to play the other type, with friends, will get something they can enjoy...
Although I found Left 4 Dead frustrating in many areas, nothing else has ever scratched that particular itch.
I'm looking forward to trying World War Z
With EA having exclusive rights to Star Wars, the fact that we haven't seen an Old Republic title just boggles the mind.
same thing with republic commando: it's been on EVERYBODY'S wishlist for so long, and such an easy concept to be able to do something with, not to mention the popularity of it being shooter based ...
why they haven't gone back to that 😣
Agree w/mr.william_Cade here, (and others)
Destiny's problem is that it was built from the ground up for the monetization scheme, and no matter how they try to rework it or fix it, the fact that it was streamlined only in the areas to make money off of it first, and that every other concept/idea other than the fluidity of the gameplay, came second or third and people just aren't going to go for that anymore.
I won't be picking up anthem day one,
but it...
when I want a good laugh,
I go into EA access' menu, and look at the games that are available.
I can't believe anybody in their right mind would actually pay for that shit, I'm actually taking a long look at Anthem because it seems like everything is far as the kind of game I'd like to play, but I don't have high hopes, even though I think the best thing that's happened to them this generation of games was the slap down they got for battlefront 2 and...
