the vast majority of people I've been in contact with on my friends list that were involved in this all experience the same problem he's outright lying and he knows it,
which is, in a sense, a good thing.
it proves they are what everyone says they are: a developer that is a shell of what they used to be in their Glory days,
run by people that cannot be trusted.
I still have not been able to get into a VIP demo that I HAD TO pre-order a more expensive version of the game for.
and I know tons of people on my friends list that have had the same problem or problems.
going to do my best to make sure this is the last game, that for any reason give them benefit of the doubt, and have the slightest bit of confidence in, only to look back on it and remember nothing but disappointment.
Well there's quite a few of us that aren't pretending.
we laid down good money and had to pay, for pre-ordering, an upgraded version of the game, to have access to this.
and now no access.
can't play it.
so everyone should at least take that away from these comments: there are still lots of people that legitimately/ legally /have access to this, because they pre-orded.
they should have been prepared for this, it shouldn't be hap...
It's still not fixed.
for a lot of people.
I think maybe they should do that first.
I'm one of those people and I'd actually like to get in and play it. seeing as I still can't.
Only reason I got involved in this crap,
was because my son really wanted it.
it was his Christmas present,
to basically pre-order this thing, he was able to get in, thankfully for him, and I watched a little bit of it.
after 11 and a half hours + 5 times,
I was actually able to get in to the loading Bay area.
it would freeze.
every.
time.
i would actually get inside the mech/Javlin and try and load into...
Everything that affects your overall profitability, as company, including all your partnerships,
is something you have to be transparent about...if it's going to affect stock prices, it's a given.
Or giving games enough time in development, and or updating your out-of-date freaking engine or rewriting and creating a new one,
to where you don't release such buggy shity games...
I'd like to thank elite gamer.com for the sublocade ad that has made writing a comment here, nearly impossible.
actually it's made it impossible...
I remember when publishers were at the behest of developers, and that's when gaming was at its apex.
now it's the other way around, and you see what we're getting: grinding for nothing and being nickeled and dimed on our way to it, in almost every title you can think of.
To a certain degree, I can't help but a concur that statement, overall.
But we're well beyond those days. technologically we've gotten to where it is with PC, and that Simply, games have become so large and complex and capable of so much, that it's just not feasible to think but you're not going to have problems, it's literally now to where it almost every game has a day one patch and I certainly don't like that, I'm just glad we're to the point b...
Agree with that statement👍 particularly when the opening assertion(KingThrash) is:
"why was it so hard to get right to begin with?" that sort of explains the depth of understanding their coming from, and for the record as far as consoles: Xbox live is the gold standard.
it far exceeds PlayStation/Nintendo or anybody else in that space.
It's not just running very old games, as separate entitys, that's a huge oversimplification.
it's five different games from five different eras literally, and all content along with the multiplayer that goes with it, on one piece of software,
That's a massive undertaking in anybody's book, even on PC.
@timotim.
Funny but almost word-for-word what you added, was what I was going to say.
people really love to oversimplify the situation, and the investment.
there's many examples of them in the very beginning, with the troubles, saying that no matter what happened, it would be fixed, and they would give it everything they had to get it right.
there were delays in doing so,
having to go back in and redo netcode and literally go through the ent...
I had heard, some time ago(2-1/2 years ago) that 2K was trying to get control of the IP.
(SUPPOSEDLY) there were certain sales milestones that had not been met,(as to weather that had anything to do with battleborn, I'm not sure) and also development milestones that were part of their contract, and allowed 2K to gain the advantage and a larger percentage towards ownership...
I think that was such a one-of-a-kind thing for gaming,
that that's not exactly a fair statement to make, but I understand where it comes from.
certainly they have changed, and are different studio, but the heavens aligned with Halo.
there was nothing like it, it was launched on a platform that was way more powerful than anything else as far as a console has ever been, it received such a huge word of mouth and buzz around it, and to this day it's consider...
I would love to see both vicarious vision and high Moon Studios, either gain independence or find contractual work with literally anybody else (other than EA of course)
If Microsoft wanted to grab two excellent Studios, those would be the ones,
But I don't see them(Activision) actually giving them up.
I see them shuttering them or dismantling them.
which would be a shame.
both of those had a great history with their own IP's prior to activi...
I think if you read enough of the replies in this article, that's not what is being said about kingdom hearts 3 at all it's just being used as an example of a triple A game with a pending release, that falls into this category...
You sound exactly like my gaming buddy, but he claimed his favorite game as a kid was him and his brothers chasing each other with fire 🔥
but we certainly seem to be paying a whole lot more, and getting a whole lot less.
even when we're given a lot of content.
it's either "empty" or crappy, and man, do you pay for it...
$$$$
That was really one of the things about it too, was the ridiculous multi-level health bar.
I think that's just such a tired old gaming cliché, for anybody to still be using it, is kind of.. I don't know...
it just seems cheap.
the fact that they were still able to effectively just keep dumping the same amount of damage on you, and just tanking at you, even after taking three or four levels of their health bar down (a lot of the boss style enemies) there...
