I haven't played since launch as I got bored after 3 hours because of the lack of mission variation and seeing the same handful of structures littered across planets with a different colourway. Has it changed quite a bit now or still the same as launch minus the weapon nerfs etc?
This is how I feel about every open world game from the last 5 years. They're all the same. Camp clear out, fetch quests, identical skill trees, collectables.... It's all just become very Samey. Ubisoft gets the flack whilst most of the industry does the exact same as them. Open world games need a complete redo in structure
You want more forced open world games? The industry is littered with them. The irony is people are quick to call out Ubisoft but about 95 percent of open world games follow the same design, mission, and basic gameplay loop with very little creativity. We need far less of them.
As someone who's only played the Lost Judgement games in the Yakuza series because theres just so many mainline games that I feel I'd never get around to playing them, what way did they change Yakuza? Just put of curiosity?
For all the faults with trespasser there's a reason why people now make videos and opinion pieces on the game of how many decades in the future that game tried to be, not graphically but in terms of it's ideas.
Whilst I didn't agree with youre take, props for mentioning Sin. Those games along with Kingpin were a great era in gaming lol
Where in Britain are you finding the C3 for £800? Even the smaller 42" is £900. A 48" A2 from over a year ago, not sporting the refresh rate or specs of the C or G series is only just retailing under £800 in all the main retailers.
As someone who sells TVs for a living, the 55" C3 often floats around £1099-£1299.
This is what I don't get. UE5 video updates show how much easier engines are getting at stream lining a lot of work, mo cap whilst expensive has been standard for a long time, and the games are selling more than ever, at a higher price and riddled with microtransactions.
This generation so far has been massively underwhelming and is widely accepted as that so far by alot of people. I've had both consoles from launch and I'm still waiting for games to look as good as Rachet and Clank and The Matrix demo.
The lack of true next generation exclusives and a whole heap of remakes, still makes it feel like the generation has barely started several years in.
Nope. REmake has a totally different vibe, feel and tension that the newer remakes can't replicate due to the camera angle. Yes the original fixed camera was used for technical reason but at the same time, they created a feeling of dread not knowing what was around the corner. You simply don't get that with a third person camera as great as the third person RE games are.
I love the first 4 mainline games but MGSV was a good game but a terrible MGS game. The forced, barren open world with all the generic open world gameplay tropes that we still continue to see in today's lazy open world games ruined so much of what MGS fun for me personally.
I bought this on PS5 thinking they'd actually put some effort in this time but sadly no. The aim controls are awful too
That's where console gaming would die for me. It's not just the lack of having physical media which I don't like. I like having a choice where to buy my games from and shopping for deals. I ain't paying £70 for any new release from a locked MS or Sony store when physical is almost always cheaper and drops in price quicker.
I'm no PC gamer but they have a number of ways to buy games so pricing is still competitive
There's nothing wrong with the skins. Not everything needs to be Fortnite-ified. That's already happened to so many games already. COD is mess because of it.
This applies to most fighting games now. I refuse to buy any until the complete edition drops. I'm old enough to remember playing to unlock new fighters, not charged silly prices for a fighter and some costumes. Tekken 7s DLCs, Season passes were out of hand.
MW3 damaged the reputation of COD? Not the last three games that came before it? CW, VG and MW2 were terrible and WZ2 ruined a lot of of what people liked about WZ. MW3 has fixed nearly every issue that we're problems in the last couple of games and WZ now played a lot more like OG WZ than WZ2. The poor reviews were mainly down to the awful campaign which is justified TBF.
My main gripe with COD are the skins which don't belong in CODs asthetic but it's past th...
There is absolutely no reason for ever raising the price of cosmetics. They are some of the quickest assets to create but charge silly prices for them. Its greed. There's no other way to spin it no matter what the game is.
The hospital section was the only bit that felt like a MGS game.
MGS4 was the ending for me. I totally ignore the fact 5 exists. It didn't need to exist tbh
Everyone I've ever spoken to about it has never heard of it. It was waaaay ahead if its time.
Can't wait. I love watching the game but I never play it. This overhaul is what it needs on consoles. Hopefully the overall jankyness of the console version will be fixed with this update.
I'm bored because it's the same thing over and over. The game has to little variation. A colour pallet swap and a slight change in weather is not content lol
