A new franchise? There goes any hope I had for a new Uncharted or TLOU game.
TBF apart from the SBMM which people aren't a fan of, they've actively acted on what people have asked for pretty qucikly. The numbers on steam are doing well and there's a huge amount of people waiting for it to drop on consoles. The reception so far from the non brainwashed who believe everything china does is evil, are pretty impressed with the game.

Concord was never labled a COD killer. It was more Overwatch x Destiny gameplay wise which are nothing like COD.
COD will kill itself. As someone who enjoys the series, WZ is a shambles right now and BO6 is a monumental disappointment it being the first COD to ever get a full 4 years of development time and has nothing to really show for that apart from Omnimovment which is slower than MW2019 and a prestige system that should have never been removed anyway.

It feels like studios live in a little bubble and ignore everything around them that isn't the game they're making. The Avatar game was okay but would have been much better as a third person game too.
@Silverhawk, HFW was also bundled with every PS5 for that holiday season massively inflating it's numbers. Horizon has its fans but to me, its Sonys Assassins Creed. Outside of the metal dinosaurs, it's a pretty standard open world game that's been done to death.
Even some of us Sony loyalists are struggling to justify getting one. PS4 Pro I feel was justified. 4K was becoming the standard and was quite the jump from 1080p. The 8K adoption rate is abysmal. They still aren't selling very many and the TV shop I work at, I'd say 90% cannot see the difference and the ones who are interested don't buy them because there's barely anything that supports 8K.

You still can. Its IGN. If they are your main source for reviews then you've missed out on some incredible games and probably played a lot of overhyped ones too.
I loved this era on multiplayer games from Sony. People used to call the modes tacked on multiplayer but they were enjoyable. I loved Factions even more. I'm Still gutted that the second one isn't coming out.
8K TVs still aren't selling a whole heap. I work in a store that sells TVs and the vast majority of people can't see the difference between it and the 4K OLED next to it. I feel you'd a pretty large screen to notice the difference.
As good as RE8 was, I hope it's less like that. I think it strayed a little to far from what RE is. It almost felt a bit to fantasy with the doll, the sisters and werewolves.
They are pushing gamers away. I've been PS since the start but I have a PS5 that can already play the PS4 game if I want to revisit it. We finally get backwards compatibility and they decide to remaster everything already on PS4. It's sad to see the way they're going.
Braindeadninja, look at Mystics video from last week. Digital says are screwed massively. Most exclusives still sell more on disk. They say digital says are up but that includes all the shovel ware. Digital isn't as dominant as you'd be made to believe.
I've never understood the appeal of IGN. The website is a d has been a mess for a while, the presenters present like preschool teachers and Watchdog 2 NPCs and the bias of some of their editors make them look and sound like teenage kids which is strange behaviour when most of them look like they're in their late 30s.
A large world is only part of the content. I feel they focus to much on that and the world lore and everything else like the quests, the dated animations, the terrible voice acting, glitches, bugs, dated graphics are subpar. I'm happy the rest of the industry caught up and surpassed Bethesda so they can finally be called out for their work. They are so far behind so many other studios.
Instructions for DLC? It should be purchase and play like 99 percent of games. Bethesda continue to lag behind the rest of the industry and people have the right to call them out on it after giving them a free pass for so many years.
I never once stated that that wasn't the case. The key word here is franchise. This isn't a one and done ordeal and with ND taking as long as they do with game releases, it leaves very little time for any new TLOU or Uncharted games.
