Sounds like this game just wasn't for them. A lot of people are liking it even if it can be frustrating at times
This. The campaign and zombies are terrible but the multiplayer has been the best it's been in years. Sledgehammer has been adding events, games modes, LTM, weapons, gun conversions, maps, new attachments, new camps and has generally done a lot more in this years COD than we've ever had in its history.
MW2 which came before it was the train wreck everyone hates, not MW3. MW3 fixed almost every issue people hated about MW2
It's Bethesda. They've re-released Skyrim a billion times and it's still riddled with bugs, terrible voice acting, dated graphics (even for it's time), poorly animated trash. The same for Fallout. What makes you think Starfield will be any different lol?
I wonder if this mod will finally make Fallout a good game without the bugs, the jank, the poor animations, gunplay and terrible voice acting 🙏
I love the idea and the world of fallout but the gameplay is a solid 5 at best.
Live service games are designed to keep you playing just their game most of the time. They make the battle pass require you to play many many hours to keep you playing, spending more money and not moving on to other games. There's only so much space in the world for them.
Long TTK generally means having a higher skill gap. Alot of games today moved away from long TTKs to draw in larger, more casual crowds to their games. I don't mind either personally but I can see why a lot of people wouldn't like a long TTK.
These figures are the very reason they should be advertising lol
@Charlie no it's not well known. The reason it was canned was because of Bungies input. You really think ND would have created a game and though mid way through "uhhhh, guys how do we maintain this?". Factions 1 still lives on til this day. It seems you just want to disagree to simply disagree lol
I played it for a hour or two. It was better than I was expecting but I can see it getting stale so quickly like so many other Hero based shooters.
It's still baffles me how Factions 2 got canned but this was given the go ahead outside of the very very easy to see MTX potential.
@Mike, if you think this tiny site called N4G accounts for the whole of gaming, then yes. Outside of this place, there's endless threads, articles and posts about how boring RDR2 is. It's nothing new lol
So much production value that they forgot to add the fun.
It's not a wildly unpopular opinion. Very little changed in terms of open world gameplay design since GTA5. Every open world is still fetch quests, kill quests, collect quests and camp clear quests... Yes we'll get a pretty game, with details that are borderline obsessive but it's not going to completely change gaming like GTAO did, just as RDR2 didn't before it. It's will just be a refined game.
It's wild how this got more disagrees and agrees 🤣 This place really does have the worst takes at times
Ive not heard one person ask for Revelation remakes. They were never really that great but good enough for a spin off. I wouldn't mind a remake but it would have to be a complete overhaul. Outbreak on the other hand people have been asking to be remade forever at this point. Maybe one day 🙏
It's gotten the point of no return though. Every open world off the top of my head except Elden Ring and Zelda (and I don't even like the new Zelda games) all follow the same lazy game design. Go here, kill them, collect this, bring back loot, clear this camp, find all the collectables, add in a pointless RPG skill trees filled with move sets you will never use and I've just listed nearly every single player open world game of the last 15 years.

This is exactly how I feel. I miss the linear, semi linear games with loads of set pieces that make you think wow. The last three Tomb Raider games I didn't like at the time as Uncharted just felt so much better but with generation having nothing like Uncharted or TR, I've gone back to it and I'm having more fun with these games than any current gen game.
This generation has been a complete disappointment.

The day consoles go digital only is the day I stop supporting consoles. I'm not a collector or do I sell my games after I finish them but I flat out refuse to be locked into one store to buy any games at inflated prices. Physical has always been cheaper because of the competition.
Yes, you can argue you can save money when retailers have a percentage off store cards but that's not all of the time.
I'm actually gutted they started the remakes with MGS3 but I'm in the minority that places it last out of the first four games. MGSV doesn't exist to me. Absolute car crash of a MGS game that was.
Literally everyone is saying it. Even PS die hards are saying it. This so far has been Sony's worst generation for big, first party exclusives. I'm not the biggest Xbox fan but I feel that showcase yesterday should have kicked Sony up the arse and get it's PS3/PS4 era attitude back.
What I'll never understand with Dino Crisis was that with RE6, they went down a action heavy route which people disliked and didn't fit the RE formula but I feel that would have worked perfectly for Dino Crisis if they went down the Dino Crisis 2 route of being a action game over the more RE inspired DC1.
As long as it's nothing like DC3, Id absolutely love a new DC game.
