I've been doing this for ages lol. It comes in handy when you get them massive patches that are over a GB.
A lot of developers claim they max out consoles yet Naughty Dog always comes around with a better looking game with better AI and better gameplay. Most developers just don't ustise consoles to they're maximum capibilities it seems. Well sometimes at least.
Crysis 2 weren't nothing special on consoles. I remember being quite underwhelmed by it after all the hype. There are far better looking games than crysis. I'm not knocking the engine because on PC it's unbelievable but on consoles it was below par.
They don't really bother me. its not really offensive but I report the emblem just to p*ss them off when Treyarch delete it :D
I think I'd put It at the top of my list this year. This year has been a bit hit and miss for gaming, especially for the big hitters like Max Payne, Mass Effect 3 and RE6 falling short of people's expectations.
Next year looks a hell of a lot better though.
Split Second was amazing IMO even if Disney only did publish it.
While I liked the Legacy series, it just didn't feel like it was part on the MK universe. I know they tried taking it Down a more 'realistic' approach but If I hadn't of known who the characters were I'd never of guessed I was watching something based on MK.
The old films get a lot of flack but they had balls to try and get the look and feel of the games (minus the gore). Now I'm guessing they have a bigger budget I hope they try and do the same rather...
It could work. CoD is hardly the most realistic of games as it is. Zombies, regenerating health, running at inhuman speeds head first into an army etc all say hello.
I bought it and while I admit that's all I've played is Leon's campaign so far, I'm struggling to see where the hate is coming from.
I'd rent it. I've played every RE game except RE on the Gameboy and Dead Aim and I'm baffled by some of the reviews so far but I guess I can't judge until I've tried the other 3 campaigns but so far, it's good IMO.
''Well I guess if you don't even have an Xbox 360 and just like to butt in on every Microsoft topic your on the right site!''
I guess you don't check the 'Sony is doomed' articles. All the 360 fans come crawling out the wood work then. There's more Sony hate articles on here than MS.
Yes it's good that MS is finally giving something back but with the amount of money you'd have to invest to get anything back is a lot...
@roadkillers
That was a totally different game. A FPS but with the same name. The one on the PS1 was a third person game on the PS1. It's coming to the EU PS store today.
If I didn't know that this game was called I would of thought it was a sequel to an old PSone classic called Urban Chaos. This looks pretty good though. I'm certainly keeping my eye on it.
Infinity Ward? Incredible series!? lol. They made one good MW game and the rest were terrible.
Black Ops was the best COD since COD4, MW3 being the worst which I honestly did not think could be done after the awful MW2.
No they didn't lol. Deus Ex, LBP2, NFS:S2, InFamous 2 all came out last year unless last year is considered old now?
Indie games seem to be doing the scary side of things these days. Both Paranornal and Slender, while being basic and the other in beta, put the big 'horror' games to shame.
I hate the way horror games are dying out when we have so much power in consoles to do crazy stuff that weren't possible a gen or two ago. The thought of a Fatal Frame/project Zero game on PS3 or XBox would blow my mind.
The only game this gen that I have considered scary to t...
Im slightly baffled by this. CD is the exact same as conquest bar the counter ticking faster to capture. What would be the point?
I'm curious why you think that when WaW to BO1 was a massive jump in terms of features. Treyarch seem to be the only ones trying to move COD forward while IW just sticks to what it knows will work.
MW3 was terrible and In my opinion, took the game back a step that Treyarch had moved forward with with BO1.
I'm more of a BF player myself but BO was the best COD since MW1. I myself think it's a good thing COD is actually trying something a bit diff...
Not a fan of racing games I guess? Quite a few arcade racers like Motorstorm Apocalypse and Ridge Racer tend to have quite a few Dubstep tracks thrown into the soundtrack these days but it's a racing game so it ain't all bad.
If I was playing an RPG or FPS and some Dubstep came one then there'd be a problem.
The animations were the biggest let down for me, they seemed really poor compared to how they were in RE5.
With dinosaurs :D
