Split Second was one of my favourite arcade racers of the last generation but it sold terribly, stopped working on the sequel and shut down Blackrock studio's.
I hadn't had that much fun with a racer for years. The way parts of the map would blow up causing a skyscraper to fall, a dam to burst, a mountain collapse and totally changing the layout of the track was a breath of fresh air to me.
@OVOXO_Mike
I completely agree with you. The game was nowhere as broke as the media made out. The first month was ropey and I got dash-boarded twice with an error code and once encountered the revive glitch which was fixed soon after.
There are/were far, far, far worse games to get released over the years.
That moment when I jumped from the bridge onto the massive metal crab/spider/robot (what ever it was) on Christmas day, was jaw dropping back on the OG Xbox.
I tried Halo 3 and Reach but never played any of the Halo's after that or even bothered to turn on an Xbox tbh. Not hating. I just don't really like many XB exclusives.
We've been able to reply to messages from the app for a while now or am missing something?
I agree with you about the messages not being shown as read on the PS3 but have been read on the PS4 showing up.
Does anyone else also have the problem when messaging from PS4 to PS3, the person your writing to revives the first message but when you reply to the message they don't recieve it?
Could of worded that better but meh lol
We've had Second assault with four old naps already. We don't need more reused maps as much as I do love Wake Island, I've been playing that map for over a decade now. Let it rest.
Is that so? I'm only speaking about next gen PS4 here but I bought Ghosts last night for PS4 and there were only 48,000 people playing. Out of 4.2 million consoles sold that is a seriously low amount.
I don't know how many play BF4 on PS4 but in the server browser I see endless amounts of full servers. The game needs a few tweaks and fixes but the game really ain't as broke as some make out. There have been far worse game launches in terms of multiplayer.
@Starchild
It's really not as bad as the N4G as people make out. Conquest can be laggy and there are a few annoyances but it's more than playable and if it weren't there wouldn't be people ranked 100 plus.
When the game launched it was a hell of a mess but now? It's really not that bad.
There was nothing wrong with Absolution and it definetly weren't 'awful'. Yes the game on easy and normal was to easy with the whole seeig through walls and guards forgetting about after a while but on professional it was a true hitman game.
It still offered multiple ways to play, still maintained the option of stealth or run and gun and still was overall a really good game, with a few tweaks it could of been amazing.
Oh look, another dramatic article about BF4.
The game is more than playable. Yes it has a few niggles, like every other game that gets released. Some of these articles are going on as if the game is completly broken to the point that it's unplayable.
Since getting it on release the only problems I've had is my campaign resetting and getting booted to the dashboard on PS4 and that only happened once...
While I still enjoy gaming, it's nowhere near as fun as it used to be for me. To much is shown before hand these days and with the dominance of online gaming, games have become more competitive than fun.
I used to love online gaming but getting right back into single player games now days because that's where the variety it, not shooting someone with a gun part 6383237.
I've tried hard to get into this game but I have no idea what the hell is going on most of the time. Hopefully they redesign the UI so it's more console friendly when it comes out of beta.
There is a way you can kind of pause downloads but it's annoying.
If your turn off your router for 10 seconds say, the PS4 will stop downloading saying unable to download title. It then won't resume until you go to the downloads section in notifications and resume the download.
Remember all those articles that consoles are doomed, outdated and PC/mobile gaming will make consoles irrelivent by the time next gen comes... These journalists are worse than the people who predict the end of the world!
Some people gave up their last gen consoles to get their current gen/next gen consoles. There was no way I was doing that though with TLOU DLC, TWD season 2 and GTAV single player DLC coming. There's still to much to offer to let my PS3 go.
I spoke with an EA advisor after having the same issue that's mentioned in this article and luckily enough he gave me a Code for the PS4 version of the China Rising DLC as well as 15% off my next Origin purchase that I'll never use lol.
I didn't think this franchise was still going let alone only being called Dynasty Warriors 8. I swear there were over eight of them games on the PS2 alone lol?
It's working fine for a lot of players now after the last patch. No one seems to be crashing to the XMB/Dashboard on PS4 which only happened twice to me anyway. All game modes work, the revive glitch is fixed and the 'Kill Trading' (where you'd both die at the same time) is fixed to. It's more than playable right now.
While I'm with everyone else that the game shouldn't of been released in the state it was in at release, I feel the people who are s...
Ermm, I was playing it last night? It's in Beta but it's on the EU PS Store. I'll upload a picture if you really need proof lol?
War thunder is out but I deleted it not long after. It weren't exactly what I was expecting.
Same here. Yes the game has bugs like 99% of all other games. The only one bug that annoys me is wen playing on Hiwian (I can't spell it lol) resort and someone makes half of the hotel collapse the whole game becomes a stuttering mess until the until it's finished collapsing then it returns back to it's normal 60fps.
