If you have a day one PS3 turn it on now and play the Last of Us. The fans go into overdrive which is expected for a nine year old console. You'd be lucky to have any tech that long these days.
It was only yesterday when I was playing Rocket League driving up the walls I thought, damn why hasn't there been another roll cage game. I'm more glad to see a good old arcade racer on next gen tbh. Nearly everything on PS4 so far has been sim/half sim. I miss my Burnouts, Split Seconds, good NFS, Mototstorms etc.
I know I'm in minority and I ain't here to slate it for no reason like a troll. I just found Fallout 3 one of the greatest let downs ever. Terrible AI, glitches everywhere, unstable frame rate, sub par graphics an animations were laughable (all this could of been from the bad port that Bethesda did with the PS3 version) Yet dispite other games getting ripped apart for them very same things, Fallout 3 got a free pass. Funny thing is I loved Fallout 1&2.
The one th...
Bethesda seems like they ain't even trying. How can we still have loading in open world games in 2015? Got a feeling this is going to be as over rated at Fallout 3 was.
SPOLIERS*****
So you think Ellie and Joel lives happily ever after when going to that small town before the credits roll? That's pretty small minded considering pretty much everyone's turned. Anything could of happened when they went there. They left the story wide open IMO. There's so much more to tell.
Whatever way they go down, I for one cannot wait to return to TLoU. It was one of the few games that got the post apocalyptic setting right.
I've been wondering the same. Duplicate stories, downtime, less than a page of new news a day. Something's up. I don't even know where to look for good gaming related to news outside of this place.
Hmmm nothing for me and I've been with it when all we got was one psone game two minis and some avatars. Ah well.
Unless the worlds internet gets better in the next five years which I highly doubt, a digital only future would have a big impact on the industry as a whole an send sales potentially crashing. It's one thing downloading or streaming a 13mb song or 600mb film but when it's a 50 gb (maybe even double by next gen), it's a whole different story.
Not to mention nether PSN or XBL are still not stable enough to withstand a digital only future yet with the amount of down ...
The problem with destiny is that the story ain't still finished. Most games release DLC to extend the game beyond the story of the original game you paid for. Destiny ain't letting us finish the story without pumping money into it which is one of the biggest d*ck moves in recent gaming in my opinion.
Surely you can't push a game to its limits when you know you have to make the game playable on 10 year old hardware at the same time? I want what was not possible on last gen systems, not the same with fancier graphics held back because they had to think of the limitations of the last consoles.
I'm going to get roasted for this but as a huge MGS fan I'm really not liking the way the series heading. The open world thing is really putting me off. I hate the fact all games think they gave to go open world these days.
I miss the feeling of progression (other than stats and equipment), epic set pieces and a strong narrative. You lose so much of that in 90% of open world games. No doubt I'll still buy it day one but while everyone raving about MGSV, I'm c...
Too violent? There are far worse games than DOOM!
Agreed! I love Life is Strange, telltales TWD series (ain't been to fussed on their other titles), HeavyRrain and indigo prophesy. The only one I couldn't really get into was Beyond: Two Souls but not because it was a bad game, I just didn't like the way the story went back an forth to different times in her life.
Not every game needs to be open world! When will people and developers understand this! I'd rather a liner game going to new places with epic set pieces, story and feel like I'm progressing rather than drive/walk past things I've seen a million times already whilst going about things in an open world.
It's a good idea and I wish Sony went down this route instead of charging us for PS now but while this is good news, has everyone forgot that MS said the x360 would play the OG Xbox games and very few of them actually worked? I hope they do but I remain sceptical.
Anyone notice how all the games that were exclusive said 'exclusive' but RotTR said 'exclusive fall 2015'. No other game shown said that so I guess it is a times exclusive?
The thing is none of them are selling as well as their walking dead games either. Just release season 3 already!
I got a slight Enslaved vibe from watching the trailer.
Checkpoints for PoE?! Raids having them makes sense (not so much Croata as that felt rushed in comparison to VoG) but not for PoE. If you can't do it, admit defeat and find someone better to do it with.
That's te App Store for you. 95% ripped off games (gamesloft I'm looking at you), 5% originality. Yet mobiles the future guys!!1!
