Because 1 or 2 system failures means anything. Even 140,000 failures wouldn't mean anything. That is just 2% of 7,000,000 sold. That's acceptable for electronics.
Stop trying to compare this to the xbox red ring of death which was a 33% failure rate.
Down for some people? The website won't even load.
Game of the Year awards are given out by the same companies that give out the reviews.
So, if you can't trust the reviews.... why would you trust the awards?
The user reviews were piss poor for 2 reasons:
1. All the bitching and moaning we heard in the months before the game released because the final product didn't look exactly like the E3 demo. This was unreasonable, so if the reviews are low, it is dishonest/idiotic gamers.
2. This game had a major bug that prevented you from continuing your game [the 90% loading bug]. This affected me personally. We had to wait over 3 weeks for this to be fixed. This killed reviews as...
Xbox division is a money loser for Microsoft. If that doesn't change, they will kill it eventually.
You xbone fanboys said May didn't count because people were holding back.
So comparing to May is pointless. Don't try to gloat about doubling sales (especially when time period was a week longer too).
Maybe we should compare to April. They sold about 29k per week. So this 30k per week in June isn't impressive at all for a $100 price drop.
That very well may be true. But, there's no proof of that.
You can't post some small ass gifs and claim it is vastly different when clearly it isn't based on the pictures.
PS owner here, but vast differences my ass.
If you go to the kickstarter it shows what all of the milestones are.
Nice defense MS. Put them side by side on a 60" TV and tell us what is different. As if the average consumer can do that.
I mean they are trying to claim that 1080p is the same as 720p? It isn't something up for discussion.
Might as well just tell the debt to stop at 720p. Hell why even get an Xbox One?
Kind of dumb article. Just as pointless as the original. Job postings aren't news. The original never said it was for the next console. Maybe it's a new kinect or virtual reality device.
Consider this game probably won't be released for another year or so and has been taking people's money for almost 2 years... And we have no clue what required specs will be... Yes it is very likely contributed money and their system won't be able to run it without upgrades.
Not everyone paid $90.
I hope those 500,000 people have a powerful enough rig to play that.
Diablo 3 is only 900p.
Racing games are easy to hit 1080p.
An indie title.
Wolfenstein isn't fully 1080p.
Why even release new systems if graphics don't matter. You wouldn't mind if games were still 480 or 640 resolution?
Not really misleading. They don't have it at 1080p/60fps yet. They don't know if they will. So, how is that misleading?
But while attempting to seek clarification over whether Bhatti's comments also applied to the Xbox One version, senior creative producer Naoya Hatsumi explained that PES Productions is "still at a stage where we can't give a definite yes".
I'm pretty sure there still isn't a debate about this.
Microsoft knocked out one the negative aspects (price). They also lost one of the advantages they had (100% kinect ownership).
Sony still has a more powerful console, more indies, more exclusives and a better subscription service.
Only reason to get an Xbox One is if you want the exclusives they have. And maybe to "SNAP TV".
Why exactly should Sony have the same policies as Gamestop?
100 people working on UI? Find that hard to believe.
Normally he makes sense, but his comment about the kinect being optional is good for developers doesn't make any sense. They always had the option whether to make use of it.
Nice article. They didn't explain anything.
