It is related to people who redeemed some of the Uplay rewards (car, etc). It can happen at anytime during the game apparently. I wasn't that far into it personally, just a couple hours.

Only played Batman 2, but I think the Marvel one was far and away the best that I have played (Marvel, Batman 2, Lego Movie, LOTR, Harry Potter 5-7 [this one is horrible so far, still playing]).
It wasn't just one outlet, did you read the article? These are 4 comments from different people.
1) "game looked to be dropping 70% of the time to about 10-15 fps"
2) "the frame rate is awful for now"
3) "performance was rough though, dropping below 20fps even"

That isn't a source screw-up. That is him making things up. Somehow he turned an "appointment" into a "secret demo". That is his screw-up.

Not really. A 10 year old computer can do all of that other stuff. Like mine for example. Bought it in 2007. It can do all of that other stuff. It can't play new games well. So any money spent on a new computer would purely be for gaming.

THIS IS NOT A PENALTY.
You gain "notoriety" and "notoriety skills" by participating in this feature of the game. It is a reward, not a penalty.
So, if you don't want to participate, you don't get the rewards.
You can still play single-player.

This has nothing to do with single player. Why can't you guys get that through your skulls?
There has to be some kind of penalty for disabling invasions. Maybe a complete reset is overboard, but none of us have any clue how it works.
Otherwise what is to stop someone from just disabling it every time they want to stop playing? Then you turn it on while you are playing. You rarely leave yourself vunerable.

Not necessarily. Upgrades worked for physical disks as well. You had to have the PS3 disc in your PS4 to make it work.
