"The remake could have been something simple with with updated graphics and with the same traditional gameplay."
You're aware that the Remaster of FFVII has been around for...some time? Go and play that. FFVII will always be FFVII, nothing can take that away from it.
FF7R isn't getting a next-gen release, it was announced yesterday. It's going to playable via back-compat but each part of the Remake will be a current gen title. Hopefully the next gen consoles will enhance the gane but we won't be getting a next-gen exclusive from SE for quite some time.
Dropped the ball...how, exactly? We asked for a Remake, we're getting a Remake. Now don't get me wrong, I was as bummed as the next person when the game was announced as multi-part, but from what I've seen so far it's going to be well worth it. Everything just looks better than I ever could have hoped for, and I can't freaking wait until April 10th.
Now imagine playing a game of a demo of a Remake of the original game in Dreams and shit gets crazy.
I'm looking forward to giving the demo a try. It won't be day one for me due to back log reasons, and the Final Fantasy VII Remake will put *everything* on the back burner in April. But I'm definitely looking forward to getting around to it at some point later in the year. So many great games to catch up on and look forward to this year.
I kept them on as it's the default control scheme. Loving the game so far.
Personal finances. I physically can't afford another console right now, especially with the amount of games that I want coming out for the platform that I already own.
I'd like a Switch at some point, but I just can't justify a purchase yet.
I'm intrigued. I've only played Tales of Graces f & Xillia. I'm a bit overwhelmed on where next to start to be honest. Berseria? Zestiria? Vesperia? Or do I just wait for Arise? I'm thinking Vesperia. I always wanted to play it last gen and I was gutted it was only on 360. Now that I can play it, I haven't.
To be fair the game needs to run on the original Xbox One and PS4 as well as the Xbox One X, PS4 Pro, PS5 & Series X. It sounds like a logistical nightmare to me.
Yeah, I'm seeing this on a phone screen and it looks pretty good from a graphical standpoint. On a 4K set with HDR & possible Ray Tracing for improved lighting etc then it'll no doubt look amazing. I'm not sold on the gameplay just yet but there's still plenty of time to win me over.
But you're right, first party games are going to look spectacular.
Ah OK, i weren't aware you were talking about first party. First party or not I'm intrigued to see what devs can do when they build a game solely for the PS5.
Godfall is a new IP.
What did I just watch, I'm going to have nightmares.
They needed to do something to raise awareness. This could give Stadia a helping hand but I still doubt it'll take off. Still, stranger things have happened.
I don't know how to feel about this game. It looks great, but I'm really bad at first person games. It's a genre that I just haven't been able to get in to, and I've not played a lot of games because of that. I'm looking to change that, and I'm hoping this can be the game to do it for me. I'll most likely pick it up alongside my PS5.
I think it's because the game got announced not that long ago yet it's releasing so soon. The automatic thoughts are that the game is rushed, but it would have been in development alongside RE2 so hopefully this won't be the case.
I don't care for that Resistance game coming with it though.
I'll be one of them, and I can't wait. Really looking forward to the reveal event.
I'm thinking it will be priced between £360- £400. That's based on it being more expensive than the PS4 at launch and cheaper than the PS3 at launch.
Yes, yes and yes.
I'll always remember getting Ape Escape on PS1 for Christmas as a kid. It came in the pack with the see through green DualShock. Analogue sticks were a game changer! Swinging those nets to catch those apes was so intuitive.
I'm still barely in to Persona 5 OG.
