He sold Atari and cashed out in 1978 - back when the company was at the top of its game. He has also created Chuck Cheese, Catalyst Tech (which owned Etak that became MapQuest) uWink, and a bunch of other successful companies. He's a "serial entrepreneur" -- he creates companies, grows them, and then sells them and cashes out for a lot of money. Needless to say, he's a multi-billionaire.
And this review came out just three days ago.
Not everyone lives in the US, you know.
People should look for the AVERAGE SCORE/RATING or CONSENSUS out of many, many reviews. One or two less-than-stellar scores from GameSpot or 1UP are not going to make too much difference for the average scores. This game will most likely end up with over 90% at Metacritic and GameRanking -- which are really the only review sources that matter.
also the managing editor of Kotaku.
If Netflix gets into the console VOD competition, then MS and Sony will be forced to lower VOD prices in order to compete with Netflix.
Which means WE the consumers benefit.
Everyone who blogs at CNET's Crave is actually a professional journalist. And just because you don't like a story does not mean it's lame.
So do you think titles like Beowulf and Iron Man are not going to sell lots and lots of HD DVDs? Because they are from Paramount and will therefore be HD DVD exclusives.
And let's not forget about The Incredible Hulk and Jurassic Park IV from Universal next year.
The truth is: both HD formats will be sticking around for a long time.
Do you have a link for that?
It'd be kinda hard for BioWare to want KOTOR to be multiplatform - considering Microsoft had been the publisher from the beginning of the development.
why should they change their taste just to buy American products to make Americans happy?
If Americans want to successfully sell them something, then it's Americans who should come up with something that appeal to THEIR taste and make THEM happy.
The self-absorbed, self-important arrogance of Americans have never ceased to amaze me.
Like Microsoft starts thinking out of the box and delivers something totally unique, revolutionary and different, something that the Japanese have never seen and will totally fall in love with, something like the iPod or Wii.
If Microsoft just duplicates whatever Sony and Nintendo have done but only does it bigger, better and with more bang, that's not going to help Microsoft in Japan. (And Microsoft is NOT doing anything better than Sony or Nintendo in Japan.) Microsoft has t...
The Japanese bundle seems better than the one in America.
then Apple iPod would not have been to completely dominate the Japanese portable music market and repeatedly defeat Japanese competition including Sony's many futile attempts to challenge iPod -- in Japan.
This calls for 10 negative Sony news in response.
In case you have not noticed, when you Sony droids stop submitting craps, I stop submitting and phrasing negative Sony news. When you start submitting craps again, I start submitting and phrasing negative Sony news in retaliation.
That's why you've been seeing so many negative Sony news from me... you guys keep posting nonsensical craps like this and ask for it.
Yeah, but not individual weekly home video sales charts. This is still a gaming site, may I remind you.
Have we completely forgotten Mass Effect and Ace Combat 6?
I don't know if Uncharted and Ratchet and Clank will be the "best games ever", but I'm quite sure whatever BioWare makes will be.
if incorporating a HD DVD player into the Xbox 360 increases its price to $500-$600, then it's a disaster.
"Xbots" are not complaining about the Blu-ray. They've been saying incorporating the Blu-ray and therefore making PS3 into a $500-$600 item is disaster. It's the PRICE, as a result of the Blu-ray, that's a disater.
Blu-ray is not at the mass production price level yet, and by including the expensive Blu-ray component into PS3, that's a disaster. ...
10? (PS3 should offer more than 10 games you want because it's much more expensive.)
What are the 10 games available right now that you want on PS3? I'm very interested in finding out... LOL.
To me that seems more like Xbox 720 or whatever you call it.
Edit: The most important thing here is the PRICE. When Sony included Blu-ray into PS3, HD players were not ready for mass market and the price of the Blu-ray player kills the PS3. Its price is still not ready for mass market. By including Blu-ray when it's not ready for mass market, Sony has priced the PS3 out of the market.
It's all about the PRICE. PRICE is an important consideration in creating a...
There are people who are waiting for Mass Effect to buy an Xbox 360.
Just go check out the BioWare forums.
And don't tell me BioWare games aren't worth anything. EA has just paid $860 mil for it. Even if you want to take half of that, (even though Pandemic isn't even as high-profile as BioWare,) that's still $430 mil and a lot of money.
Ah... now I see why the scores are so drastically difference.
