Play Magazine's unusual "pattern" started back in August of this year, when they reviewed Lair.
If you look at all the review scores, Play is the ONLY one that gives Lair 90%, the ONLY one that gives 100% to Heavenly Sword, the ONLY one that gives 100% to Uncharted.
NO other reviewer - NOT a single other reviewer - give 100% to Heavenly Sword or Uncharted.

According to Metacritic:
Only TWO reviews give Uncharted over 95%. 2 out of 26 reviews - that is less than 1% of all reviews give Uncharted a score of 95% or better. One of them is from Play Magazine, which also gives 95% to Lair and 100% to Heavenly Sword. That pretty much speaks for the quality of Play Magazine's reviews. The other one is Cheat Code Center, which gives 96% to Uncharted. That is the only two reviews that gives 95% or better to Uncharted, out of 26 reviews...

And the same magazine also gave 10/10 to Heavenly Sword, Ratchet & Clank Future, and Uncharted - *ALL* of them!
I looked up Play Magazine's review history at Metacritic, and I discovered that the magazine has NOT given any Xbox 360 game a 10/10, not one, not recently since August. NOT BioShock. NOT Halo 3. NOT The Orange Box.
Yet Play gave 10/10 to at least three PS3 games during the same period.
Hm. Strange....
EA is not going to produce a better version than Valve's. That just how it is. Valve (founded and run by former Microsoft employees who still love Microsoft) hates the PS3 and refuses to work on the PS3 version.

There's something seriously wrong with Xbox Live, and the only way to solve it is for Microsoft to reserve the right to reveal the identity of the abusive users to the public. Microsoft should just take away the anonymity of racists and bigots. Only then, people will start to behave.
A while ago, there's report of a black guy who got harassed in the same way just because he spoke with a black accent.
Some Chinese guy who put "Asian" in his screen name got harassed in the same manner by American teenagers.
The problem is that Xbox Live is a place that runs wild with bigotry and racism, and Microsoft is endorsing it because they refuse to do anything about it. Microsoft knows that letting those spoiled brats run wild is the best way ...
I knew that's the backward-compatible model. I actually wanted to buy it... if it was below $399, given that it only has a couple of good exclusives I want to play right now. So I asked the store assistant how much was it, and he told me it's $499. Screw that. I walked away. I ended up buying a pair of Nikon SLR lenses that cost me over $1,000 (not from Best Buy, but Sammy's.)
I went back to Best Buy on Sunday... and the 60GB stack was still there. I wouldn't touch the 40...
