a dime a dozen
Those titles are not MSNBC's or the editors' pick. They were voted in by the readers.
Ratchet & Clank Future, Uncharted and other PS3 exclusives were in the first round... obviously they didn't get enough votes to make to the final round.
YOU may not like those games, but apparently there are thousands of people out there who do and voted for them.
As many as PS3 fanboys we have in here and forums, you are still really in the minority when you go out into the bigger gaming population.
Sun Microsystem is no. 6 on the list. And they are one of Microsoft's most vocal antagonists.
Let me guess: and now you guys are going to say the *IEEE* is biased or getting paid by Microsoft. LOL.
Warner is not going to attend and speak at the HD DVD press conference and then drop HD DVD on the same day.
In fact, the Blu-ray people better check to make sure that Warner will also be attending the Blu-ray press conference at the CES... otherwise, it could be bad news.
Fable 2 and Alan Wake are not on the list!?!?
This new deal was likely offered as a part of the incentive for Paramount/Dreamwork to switch over to the HD DVD.
Microsoft is definitely not getting out of the console business.
the NPD November sales data, which proves that PC gaming is dead. All the big PC titles like UT3 and Crysis *FLOPPED* in October and November.
Gamers are thirsty for Western RPGs. Right now, there are only two major companies that make 'em: Bethesda and BioWare. That's it.
I despise Japanese melodramatic, over-the-top, non-nonsensical RPGs but love Western RPG. So if I want to play Western RPGs on console, other than Mass Effect, what else can I buy? There's really no alternative outside Oblivion and Mass Effect. There's the sucky Two Worlds - that's it. It sucks - but there's nothing else!
That'...
Hm... maybe I should get it.
Warhawk is prolly disqualified because it's also available via the retail channel.
they should time this to coincide with the release of Killzone 2.
Gears of War 2 will "kill" Killzone 2, just like Halo 2 "killed" the original Killzone (which were released in the same week.)
X-Play and Gamasutra.
So it's not really that surprising that Pac Man won again.
Speculation. I wouldn't bet on it.
Because Haze is not a 360 game, and TeamXbox is a 360 game site. It's sheer stupidity for a Xbox 360 game site to give free publicity to a PS3 game.
Not in the top 10. That's not exactly a good sign.
Maybe they don't put as much emphasis on the particular ability to successfully port/make games specifically for the PS3.
Valve has a certain degree of loyalty towards Microsoft.
The two founders of Valve, Gabe Newell and Mike Harrington, were actually early and long-time Microsoft employees. They had been with Microsoft since before Microsoft became big. When Microsoft went IPO, the two became multi-millionaires (along with other early long-time Microsoft employees.) With the money, they decided to quit and pursue their interest: making games, with the blessing of their boss at Microsoft.
The only reason the PSP or any other system could outsell the Wii is because Nintendo could not make more Wiis.
Nintendo is basically moving its Wii supply out of Japan to the West to meet Christmas demands. That's why the PS3 outsold the Wii for a short while in Japan last month, because Nintendo is moving its Wii stocks from Japan to elsewhere for the shopping season (in the West; Japanese are not Christians and don't go on buying frenzy in November and December.)
