Valve and Turtle Rock (the creator of Counterstrike) - two fairly high-profile studios with good track records - are making it.
Apparently hardcore fanboys like Cyrus365 and zambrota/TANOD/Shmee/Nasim want to argue that it's coming out to the PS3. Here's their reaction to this reaffirmation that the title is only for PC and Xbox 360: "This is a lie! This is fake! This is SPAM! This is a Microsoft's lie!!!"
Go figure. Let me tell you, even after months Left 4 Dead comes out on PC and Xbox 360 later on and with no PS3 version in sight, they'll still say it'll come to the PS3.
It's Microsoft's business strategy to put their "exclusives" on both Xbox 360 and Windows. They did that even for their crown jewels Halo and KOTOR, even when they did not have to. It's their CHOICE to put their exclusives on Windows. So, they're still Microsoft's exclusives because Microsoft secures that titles to make sure they don't go to Sony PS3.
On the other hand, if let say Microsoft loses a title because somehow Sony is managed to snatch it away from them, th...
Microsoft really NEEDS to do that.
That one single move alone would immediately gives Xbox 360 a huge boost and advantage over the PS3; and right now, Microsoft really needs to make a big, spectacular move to rejuvenate Xbox 360.
C'mon, Microsoft, forget about Yahoo. Buying Yahoo seems like a AOL-Time-Warner kinda deal. Buy Epic instead, and the government wouldn't even bother to block the deal.
Then their share prices will suffer.
Seems like their investors/shareholders want the management to stop wasting money and drop HD DVD as soon as possible.
Maybe this is the last statement Toshiba will make on this matter, and after this they will just quietly give up.
To "save face", you know.
Did people get to choose to get a refund on their BetaMax, UMD, ATRAC, MiniDisc?
I found this review on GameRanking, and I have to say it's a very POORLY written review.
The reviewer is basically just comparing the DS remake to the original GBA game, which was one of his favorite games. Therefore, his viewpoint becomes burdened and influenced by his nostalgia for the old game. He basically wrote the review based on a comparison between the DS and GBA versions.
As such, and I find his review to be useless because I have never played either gam...
Tom's Games looked at each title's pedigree, including the developer talent and track record as well as previous titles if the game is a sequel."
You should look at the track record of the Killzone series and its developer Guerilla.
BOTH Killzone and Guerilla have an underwhelming track record. There is nothing in their history that suggests Killzone 2 will be a good game other than being just very pretty.
Killzone 1 also had killer graphics (for i...
86 is not "just below triple AAA". As I've said, it's just an "above average" game.
Well, since Huxley on Xbox 360/PC is technically a MMOFPS, so it can have hundreds of players online at once. But then I suppose you'd say Huxley does not count unless it's "downgraded" to the "60-player" level of Resistance 2.
Actually, the author Rob Wright owns every console that has ever existed including those from before he was born, that includes the very first Atari. He said so himself in a video.
i.e., He has a weekly webcast called "Second Take" in which he talks about video games.
"Tom's Games looked at each title's pedigree, including the developer talent and track record..."
BOTH the Killzone series and its developer Guerilla have a HORRIBLE track record. There is nothing in their history that suggests Killzone 2 will be a good game other than being just very pretty.
"... as well as previous titles if the game is a sequel."
The first Resistance game is average or above average but nothing spectacular or eart...
StarCraft is the national religion of South Korea.
As far as I know, Metal Gear Solid has not reached that status in any country.
StarCraft has ONE game (two if you count the expansion,) but that one game alone most likely outsold the entire Metal Gear Solid series, all games combined.
They are making Frontlines: Fuel of War, for which the PS3 version was canceled because they complained the PS3 programming was too difficult and therefore expensive.
and then they turned out to be duplicates, and then the same admin/mod removed them.

Actually, Xbox 360 is still selling out most everywhere -- at least in the US it is. I've just visited the shopping mall and a couple of video game stores last night. The only model available was the cheap 'o Arcade. Premium and especially Elite was nowhere to be found last night.
But a business and marketing strategy that's absolutely clueless.
And an "ally" (i.e., Microsoft) that's actually been sabotaging and undermining Toshiba's effort, only helping Toshiba enough to barely keep HD DVD alive, because that "ally" only wants both Sony and Toshiba to lose, so Microsoft alone could win while everyone else loses. With that kind of "friend", who needs enemy?
