Wii U had a 5GB first day patch which bricked consoles if anything caused the patch to stop downloading.

You're right, but it didn't have a title then so it was going to be another True Crime till Activision killed the game which killed the True Crime series at the same time.
Then Square Enix brought the game back to it's feet and named it Sleeping Dogs because it couldn't be called True Crime: Hong Kong since Activision owns the True Crime name.
I don't think a lot of people know Sleeping Dogs was originally going to be another True Crime game.

Look how the PS3 started and look how it's ending. The PS4 doesn't have a games problem, it's just people lack even a bit amount of patience. We're close to 2014 and the PS4 already has a 2014 list ready filled with exclusives. (Infamous, Drive Club, most likely 1886) And even now, the PS4 has enough games to get you ...

The thing about the games now or games later logic is that at the end of a console cycle...the hardware gets used to it's max potential. So if you get games now but not later, you'll rarely see what the console can truly create later on. The only games that showed the Xbox 360's true power was Halo 4, Forza 4, and Gears 3 & Judgement but the PS3 had Uncharted 3, God of War: Ascension, Beyond 2 Souls, The Last of Us, and more. (All after 2010)
I admit, the PS4's launch line up is kinda lackluster since Drive Club got delayed and the Xbox One's shows more variety...but knowing Sony, I always expect them to bring their best in the generation later on and the PS3 proved this.
I think Sony's plan changed up and moved their early best games till 2014 with Drive Club, Infamous, and 1886...also PlanetSide 2 comes out next year for the PS4.

You say resolution doesn't matter but you keep bringing it up. Must be something in your mind that makes you keep saying it to help you justify weaker hardware for a higher price.
PS4, Xbox One and PC are having the same issues. If all three had equal optimization, then why is the Xbox One version still struggling to output 1080p native? Oh wait, your mind is currently stuck between two different answers because you don't know what to say.
It's cool to see Yoshida complimenting both sides, the guy seems to be at peace all the time.
People will disagree, but Nintendo was the main reason Playstation was created (started as an add-on to the SNES then got created into a console) and you have to thank them for that. Plus with that competition from back then in the late 90s...both of them were powerhouses when it came to exclusives proving that competition is always good.

If it can output a better resolution then it has more power and that extra power can be used for more than just a resolution increase. Only blind people will deny it...
And trust me, 1080p native games look much sharper, if it didn't then why the upgrade? Why are all TV manufacturers making 1080p the common resolution for their TV screens?

Only bought the Wii for the exclusives, but was never the console for anything else. I think that's the case with the Wii U, too and I'm sure the console will reach a new peak in sales once a new Legend of Zelda comes out...but nobody buys Nintendo consoles for anything else, just the exclusives.

Hopefully it's Syphon Filter, some of the most fun I had playing. Focused on stealth, action, and tactics...and Gabe Logan (main character) is a badass, period.
But yea, since Logan's Shadow in 2007, I been craving for another Syphon Filter and I'm surprised they haven't made another one for that long since it's Sony Bend's main series.
