I have a smartphone with T-Mobile unlimited plan and enabling hotspot on it is very costly. (greedy bastards lol)
Microsoft messed up, one way that could of been done is using your smartphone's WiFi, download the patch somewhere with internet and then update using the USB cord.
Launch day might have some kind of shitstorm for the Xbox One, they better be prepared for those refunds.

No, it would mean you can order the patch from Microsoft through a phone number. That or you can visit a restaurant or cafe with free wifi and get it from there using a cellphone or laptop. Many options, but since it's not possible to patch through USB/disc, you're going to be taking that big box to a friend's house to do it which you never know...might not have the time or room for it.
I see it as friendly competition like Sega vs Nintendo. Xbox magazine dissed Sony for the reviews and they dissed right back. I find it very entertaining, honestly.

My advice is to just use the PS4 till Microsoft gets the Xbox One sorted out. Remember when they said the drivers still require work? Maybe if you wait a couple months and they release patches for them, you can get the full experience later on when Titanfall releases. Just a plus if you wait a couple months down the road.

It's ridiculous, how can they design the Xbox One not to be able to be patched day one from an external source? It looks like those files were just meant for recovery, in case the Xbox One gets bricked later on after patching it the first time through Xbox Live.
I actually thought they did something great for the people without internet at home, but I forgot, Microsoft hasn't done anything correctly this gen without doing a 180 every time.
I'm surprised about Polygon, their standing is apparent so I expected them to give it a better rating to raise the Metacritic score higher.

Kojima could of at least hired him for the Deja Vu mission. It still would of been something for the fans and mean a lot to Hayter, that he's not forgotten. An easter egg that let's you play with his voice in-game for a mission or two would of been great.
I remember when most of us thought that it was all a troll attempt because Sam Fisher didn't have his original voice and Kojima would know that it means a lot to the fans to keep the voice actor the same. I guess...

By your logic, there wouldn't be no Xbox 360 without the PS2. But truth be told, the Xbox One would still lock out used games if it wasn't for the PS4 and that was the most important feature that brought many Xbox gamers to the PS4. Then Microsoft took it off, I guess jealousy is a bitch.
I can tell the difference very well. All the technical explanations in the comment sections from the knowledgeable people were telling the truth. More pixels mean sharper textures, upscaling doesn't create new pixels, it outstretches the image to fit the monitor and that results in a blurry image as we see in these comparison pictures.
lol Nobody caught the /s? Well, I thought it was funny since the Xbox fanboys do talk like that without the caps. They always claim they got the better service and to me, they were both the same till PS Plus came in and made PSN much better.
