Its silly to give something like Conan Exiles a 9/10. A game can be enjoyable or evan popular and still not deserve anything over a 5.
FFXV really doesnt have much in common with most jrpgs though.
I like JRPGs but i have always struggled with the main characters in these games becouse of how childish/stupid/irrelevant they usually are. JRPGs often have worlds filled amazing characters that all dress really nice, have amazing magical abilities and strong background stories. Meanwhile there you are as the main protagonist, a silly child that gets to swing a stick, complain and be ignorant to everything that goes on around him.

I think what MS needs is more system sellers. For that you dont need titles that break sale records but simply are well received by the public, Xbone needs games like Bloodborne. The 360 last gen had all genres covered, Gears/Halo etc were like the icing on the cake. Now thats all the Xbox has and these franchises just dont have the impact they once had.

Actually, i dont know about him but ive had the game for over 2 days now and youd be surprised how close he was when he said its like Primal.
The game only really pushes story/cutscenes on you when playing through the main quests, the few side quests ive come across so far were all fairly straightforward, go kill X or collect Y.
Iphone/Android......meh
But its an RTS, not a FPS. Why would hardcore Halo fans love it?
I think it probably has more to do with the fact that he went from making silly gameplay videos where he screams like a child to now ridiculing (roasting?) children.
Thinking about it there are actually very few well written love stories in videogames.

When it comes to story driven games i think there is plenty of proof out there of how much influence the Anita Sarkeesian movement has had on the industry.
